Introducing – Pulled Long

The third story in the Long Shots series is Ian’s. When I had this series in mind, Ian was the first character who popped into my mind. A customer visits the shop and Ian develops a bit of a crush. It takes him the better part of the first two stories to figure out that his mysterious customer might offer something more than simple flirtation. If only he could learn the other man’s name.

Introducing – A Shot In The Dark

Today I wanted to introduce you to book two of my Long Shots series, coming this fall from Carina Press!

A Shot In The Dark centers around Paige, the oldest of the Long siblings. Paige has had terrible relationships in the past and for the time being, sworn off men. Especially dominant men – even though that’s who she’s the most attracted to.But when Carter walks into the coffee shop one night, she knows she’d in trouble.

Introducing – Double Shot

I thought I’d take the next few days to officially introduce to you my series that is coming this fall to Carina Press. For a book that started out as a conversation I had with JK Coi in my car driving back home from a Toronto Romance Writers meeting only a year ago, I can’t believe how quickly things happened.

Girls Who Bite Contest!!

I thought I’d take a break from my writing updates (and I’ve managed to make 9 of the 11 days of writing at least 1k), to let everyone know about this awesome contest.

Still Motoring

Oops, I forgot to post my update yesterday! I was up to my eyeballs (as usual), but things should settle down today. :D

Day two and three of my 1k a day challenge were a success! I finished the chapter I was working on for the zombie smut book I’m co-writing with the awesome Del Dryden, and have started expanding a short story I’d written so I can send it off to my editor at Ellora’s Cave. My goal is to have that short done and edited by the end of next week so I can send it off. With luck it will be sooner.

My next project is still up in the air. I have two books I could work on. One is book four of my Long Shots series. I’m 2/3 of the way through the first draft, so it’s likely to win. I also have a revise and resubmit on a paranormal that I’ve been sitting on for a while. That might be project two. We’ll have to see what my muse says. :)

This weekend will be a bit of a challenge for me. I am going camping, so being able to write 1k a day might not work. I’ll take my notebook along with me (the paper version :D ) and see what I can do.

1k A Day Update

Hello everyone! Well I’m happy to report I did well for day one of my personal challenge. I managed to get 1900 words written and ran for 6km. I also got to hang with my family, which is always important. :)

Day two will prove a bit harder to squeeze everything in, but I’m going to push to get things done. Tonight we are taking the minions to see Captain America, so I’ll have to try and get my writing in before that. I’ll do my weight workout when I get home.

I’ll keep you posted.

August Challenge

I need a kick in my ass kicked. No, seriously. I’ve been pretty quiet for July (though my husband would argue that was a much needed rest), and am finding myself going a bit stir-crazy. So while I’ve promised the husband I would take the whole summer off, I think I’m going to set myself a small challenge instead.

Cause…you know. I’m nuts.

So my challenge is this. I’m going to attempt to write 1k a day for the month of August. This will help get me back into the crazy swing of things come September (I normally write a lot more than 1k a day) and yet, won’t kill me. I’m also going to throw in the added challenge of committing to exercising at least 20 mins a day. Yes, that does include taking my dogs for a walk, but every little bit, right? I’ll post my daily results on the old blog here and you guys can either join me in posting your own challenge results, or throw dirty socks at me if I don’t live up to mine.

If anyone is interested in participating, then comment in this post. If not, I hope you’ll help cheer me on. :)

Question For Readers

I love to hear from those of you who read my books. With all of the insanity that the publishing industry inspires, it’s nice to know that there are people out there who not only want to read my books, but are also excited about them. This is a humbling experience.

Periodically, I receive emails from readers about my Eternal Bond series. When I originally wrote The Bond That Ties Us, I’d never envisioned it to be anything more than a stand-alone novel. However, additional plots sprung from that first one and we ended up with a series.

Now, I’ve ended the books at four and wasn’t planning on going back to do any more. New ideas and universes have pulled me to different places. But I know there are some of you out there who would be interested in hearing more tales from the Eurus colony.

So, I’m doing a reader poll! My question to you is would you read another Eternal Bond book if I were to write one?

Romance Trading Cards

I have to say I love getting “stuff” made up for my books. There’s really nothing like it. In preparation for Romanticon in September, I jumped on the romance trading card bandwagon. I wanted to get a few made up for the Bounty series and these are the result. I’m super thrilled with how they turned out. I’ll be handing these out at Romanticon and I hope to see everyone there.
