So I’ve come to the realization this weekend that I need to hit a metaphorical “reset” button on how I’ve been doing things recently. I’ve been pushing myself hard in some areas of my life and neglecting other (more important) parts. As a result, I’m going to change things up.
I wanted to let you all know that I’m officially switching my blog to Sunday, Wednesday and Friday posts for the next little while. That way, I can keep you all entertained *snort* with my ramblings, but also giving myself a chance to visit your blogs on the off days. No, I won’t hit you all every week, but I need to get out there. I miss you all!
Next, I need to recomit myself to my writing. Not going crazy, trying to write 5000 a day, but at least sit down, open up my WIP and type. If I get 200 words…then fantastic!
I also need to get out and do some exercise. I think this will really help me with my stress level and recharge my creative well. I’m going to look into what kind of exercise makes sense with my schedule, though I really want to get into running again. I’ll keep you posted.
One good thing is that I’m actually reading again. I haven’t read in a long time, and now I’m suddenly sucked back into it. Currently, I’m eating up Kelley Armstrong’s No Human’s Involved…and man I’m loving it! I’m also enjoying all my TV shows that are back. It’s been helping to relax me.
And I can believe it, but The Bond That Heals Us is coming out soon!! I can’t believe that Sara and Davin are going to be coming out to play with you all. I really need to do some promo LOL! Least I can do is post the cover.
Have I mentioned how much I LOVE this cover??

I did it! I sat my butt down in my chair last night and managed to get some writing done. Just over a 1000 words, so I’m pleased with that. Tonight I have to take the girls to Girl Guides, so I won’t be able to get started until 9:00pm, but I plan to shoot for another 1000 words.
I’m determined to finish this puppy!
And a big YEAH!! that NCIS was back on TV last night. Everyone was in fine form, the story was interesting and a nice little hook at the end. I didn’t realize just how much I missed this show.
And I think my husband is officially hooked on JR Ward. He’s currently reading Dark Lover, and seems to be really enjoying the story. I’m glad because it means I can chat with him about them.
Speaking of which, has anyone read any good urban paranormals recently? I’m looking for a new author to try and am open to suggestions.

Writing is so much fun. I love it - I wish I could write all day everyday. Sadly, I can’t…not yet anyway. Even worse, I haven’t been able to write for the past five days.
It’s killing me.
So, I’m going to take a deep breath and make a promise to myself to fit in my writing better than I have recently. I’m almost done my story and I really need to make a point of finishing it. Yes, I’m going to kick my own ass again and get writing!
Now I feel better…please make sure that I do this everyone. Call me on it if you’re not seeing regular updates!
I had a good weekend TV wise. I dubbed it sci-fi weekend. The season finale of Torchwood was on (sob), and then Saturday the premier of Doctor Who and Battlestar Galatica was on. They were awesome and I’m so glad to have a new show to watch again. NCIS is back on tomorrow too *does the happy dance*!
Yes, I know I’m rambling…
How is everyone making out?

The day I’ve been waiting for (and regretting) is finally here! Tonight the season finale of Torchwood is on. I can’t wait to see it…but I’m sad that it’s now done for a year. The only good news is that the next season of Doctor Who starts tomorrow! Yes, I’ll simply shift my obsession from one show to the next LOL!
The rest of my TV shows start up this week as well, and I’m very thankful. Now I just need to get my book finished so I can enjoy them.
This weekend I plan on getting some writing done. The girls start swimming lessons again, so I’ll be on the road a bit. I’ve been sick most of this week, so I plan to take it easy and not push things too hard.
So what about you? Plans? Fun, excitement?

…and damn if I can’t share the details of it yet! I’m hoping to have everything worked out in the next few weeks (contracts and such), and then I’ll be able to spill it. But for now you’ll have to suffice with a major
SQUEEEEE!!!
Yes, it’s writing related…no I’m not published with NY yet.
In other news, I’ve officially crossed the 60k mark with my urban paranormal. I’m in the home stretch now and I can’t wait to be done. I’m sending off my submission to the Shomi contest this week if I can. If not, for sure on the weekend.
I also received the final line edits this week for The Bond That Heals Us! Oh man, I can’t wait for this one to come out. It’s only one month away…which means I need to get my promo act in gear. Yes, the long awaited book two in the Eternal Bond series is coming! Tell your friends, neighbours, distant relatives!
Christine will love you for it.

Hello my friends.
Yes, I’m still here. I’m holding on by my finger nails, but I’m here. I’ve managed to somehow sneak my writing in to my life, which is starting to get harder and harder. Thankfully, I’m sitting at 58k word count on my urban paranormal.
And I’m heading into the home stretch with it! With any luck I’ll be done the first draft in a few weeks, and then I can actually go back and clean it up.
Then the fun begins.
I’m really ready for a vacation. I know, I know, I just had a long weekend. But I really didn’t get a chance to rest durning it. I have some time off coming up in May, and I’m really excited for it.
I’m also really happy that the TV shows will be starting up again soon. I mean, Torchwood is done Friday, so there better be something starting soon! NCIS, House, Battlestar Galatica, and Doctor Who all star in the next week, so Christine will be a happy camper.
How is everyone making out?

Nothing better than getting a call in the shower at 6:45 regarding an emergency…
I’ll try and catch up with everyone tonight.

I’ve been trying to keep focused on my writing this week, but it’s been hard. I’ve only managed to get about 2000 words written on my urban paranormal, taking me to the 55k mark. It’s going well, but I still have a long way to go.
As usual, this weekend I’ll spend most of my time trying to get caught up. That said, I’m hoping to be able to take some time to get a little reading done. Maybe watch a movie or two…basically try and relax.
Down time is very important to the creative well.
Well, that and Girl Guide cookies. Man they are tastey.
How is everyone? Plans for the weekend?

Man…just when I think I’ve got my act together, things go down hill. I haven’t written a word since I’ve gotten back from Easter. I have been reading though. I’m behind in my judging for the Passionate Plume contest and need to get the score sheets out the door this week. I’m also reading something for Amy (which rocks!), and it’s taking me longer than normal to go through. I’m also behind in getting the RWAC newsletter out the door. I’m going to try and finish that up this week too.
*sigh*
The good news is that I’m in a good spot in my WIP and I’m anxious to get back to it. I’m hoping to be able to do that tonight.
How is everyone else making out this week? Anyone have any fun news to share?
