Oooh look!

Yeah, I’m a geek.

So I’m at a conference. And today I learned about how to make book trailers. After a grand total of 25 minutes, I made two trailers that I’m not embarrassed to put on the Internet. Well, maybe a little.

But only 25 minutes people!!

Here is one I did up for Commanding Acquisitions.

And here is one I did for my Eternal Bond series.

So what do you think? Don’t quit my day job? :D

Wow…this is where my blog went.

Hello everyone, I’d like to introduce myself. I’m Christine, and apparently I’ve been MIA for a week. Wondering what happened to me? I’m kind of trying to figure that out myself. See my charming and wonderful husband has been away for eight (yes that’s right), days on business. He was supposed to be home on Friday, but plans changed and now I won’t see him until Monday…NEXT Monday. That’s (counts on fingers) 17 days people!

Of course Tuesday I leave for San Francisco for Nationals…another seven days apart.

This is stressful for us…as a couple in the past 19 years (met him when I was 14…not that old ;) ) we’ve only been apart longer once.

*great big pathetic sigh*

So, I’ve been busy working, writing and running after my girls. TOTALLY forgot to blog. But I’ll be back a bit more this week. :D

On a totally positive note, I just found out that The Bond That Heals Us was blessed with a Joyfully Reviewed Recommended Read for July!!

The fablous Tanya said this (which completely made me blush):

Ms. d’Abo has captured the essence of not only being human, but those who strive for the best they can be, and at the same time have a very vulnerable side.

HUGS!! The rest of the review can be found here!

So what is everyone else up to this week?

Sara Fergus enjoys her work as a doctor on the space colony Eurus. Even though it is exhausting work, Sara has her best friend, Haylie and Haylie’s husband Kamran, lend a hand whenever she needs one. But she doesn’t know what to think when Davin, an alien captain, crashes his ship on the colony. Davin gets her very hot under the collar and before long, these two begin an interstellar affair unlike both have ever experienced.

Christine d’ Abo writes some of the best sci-fi romances out there. The Bond That Heals Us is about Sara, a kind and loving doctor who has the healing touch with her patients. She is all work and no play until Davin arrives on the scene. Davin is an alpha alien male who turns Sara on in so many ways. Davin may act like a space pirate but he has the healing touch, literally. He comes from an alien society where he can heal others just by touch. Touch to Davin is the ultimate way to give and receive pleasure. And you can only imagine what these two will experience together when they finally become intimate! The passion and sex between them is hot and steamy. Ms. d’Abo can sure write some excellent sex scenes. It was enjoyable to see Davin fall for Sara as soon as they make love even though he denies his feelings for the lovely human. Sara first wants Davin for more physical fun but when she realizes the ability he has in the palms of his hands, she is there to lead him in the right direction. These two lovers build a partnership that makes The Bond that Heals Us an excellent read. There is some drama and suspense that adds to the plot giving some insight on Davin’s internal struggles on whether to do the right thing. For a steamy romance with a hero and heroine who will not disappoint, definitely pick up The Bond That Heals Us and introduce yourself to the world that Christine d’Abo has invented

Snoopy Dancing All Over The Place

It’s here!! It’s OUT!! (well not quite yet, but the buy link will be out soon)

The Bond That Heals Us is released today! Can you tell I’m excited??

*does a snoopy dance*

I love this story. I know I say that about all my books, but this one and the next book in The Eternal Bond series, The Bond That Consumes Us, were so much fun to write. It also helped that I pretty much wrote them back to back, the flow of the characters never left me.

I so hope you’re all going to enjoy Davin. Personlly, I think he’s really sexy…and he has tattoos…

You’ll get to see lots of Taber, Kamran, Haylie, Sean, and will get to meet a few new characters too.

*does another random snoopy dance*

I hope you all enjoy it. Here’s a quick excerpt to warm your engines.

When a loud hiss of atmosphere vented from the shuttle door, every security guard in the bay raised their weapons a fraction higher, fixing them on the spot. Sara gasped when the most unusually handsome man she’d ever laid eyes gripped the now open entrance and leaned out of the ship to stare directly at Taber. His shoulder length brown hair fell forward, partially covering his face.

“I have wounded in here. I need a doctor,” he snapped.

Before she had time to blink, he retreated inside the shuttle. Kicking her body into overdrive, Sara was through the door and halfway across the shuttle bay before Taber could turn around.

“Sara!”

“Come with me if you want, but I’m not stopping. You heard him, they need help.”

Somehow she managed to skirt past Taber and threw her med kit up into the open door. The entrance, which would normally be only a foot from the ground, was a full five feet in the air. For not the first time in her life, Sara cursed her five feet five inches and tried to pull herself in.

“Let me help,” a voice said from above.

Sara looked up and into the most amazing golden eyes she’d ever seen. His irises were reptilian shaped and Sara found herself unable to look away.

“You’re the doctor, I assume?” His voice was deep with an unusual accent.

His English was surprisingly good for a race she’d never seen before. And he sounded more than a little amused, despite the circumstances he was currently in. She had the distinct impression he was laughing at her. She hated it when people laughed at her.

“Are you going to help me up or not?”

“Sara, let me,” Taber said from behind.

She found herself being pushed and pulled up—directly into the waiting arms of her unusual alien. The air in her lungs whooshed out, leaving her shaking and very much aware of the large, firm, male chest she was currently pressed against. He wasn’t as tall as Taber or any of the other Briel on the planet, but he was more than big enough for Sara. A full head taller than her, she was forced to tilt her head back to look into his golden eyes.

“If you’re the doctor, I might have to get ill.” He practically purred as he spoke and then he winked.

WOOT!! The Bond That Heals Us coming Wednesday!!

Can you tell I’m excited!!

Oh man I so can’t wait for this book to come out. I can’t believe it was June 2007 that I came up with the story idea. The Bond That Heals Us hadn’t even come out yet and I hadn’t even considered a follow-up book. It wasn’t until I was on a camping trip with my family and we were all sitting around a fire that I started thinking about it. In fact, myself, my husband and my niece all sat around, fighting off the mosquitoes and partaking in refreshments (i.e. getting drunk on wine), when I started plotting. I think it took all of twenty minutes to work out the basic plot for Bond That Heals, Bond That Consumes, and book four The Bond That Saves Us. I started working on Bond that Heals the next week.

Six weeks and some crazy long nights later, it was done!

Now, very soon, Sara and Davin will be coming out to play and I’m anxiously awaiting to see what you will all think of it. :D

On a personal note, I’m still sick. Slowly getting better, but I think I have a long road ahead of me yet. I’ll keep you posted.

Just what I needed

I haven’t been feeling very well the past little while. Yesterday it got to the point where I actually went to see my doctor…and it turns out that I have bronchitis. Let me tell you I’m not really a happy camper at the moment. :( I have a blue puffer, an orange puffer and pills. So far, they’re not helping.

Today I’m home from work, can barely breath and have the attention span of a flea. I can’t sleep and I don’t even think I can write, which isn’t good. I’m in the home stretch of my urban paranormal too, probably only have another three or four more chapters max. If that! Not sure if I’ll be getting anything done this weekend or not. I’ll try.

Needless to say, all my fun adventures for the weekend will have to be put on hold. I’m stuck on the couch on in bed for the rest of the weekend.

The only bright light in all of this is that The Bond That Heals Us is out next week!

Humpday…well hump

There is something to be said when your weeks fly by. I’m never bored to say the least. But man, I never seem to have enough hours in the day to get through everything I need to.

That said, I’m in the home stretch for my urban paranormal, and tonight my goal is to get 3k written. Insane? Yes. Determined? You bet! So I’ll be putting my nose down and will get ready to crank out the pages.

On another note, I’ve been doing a lot of reading recently. I’m just about finished No Humans Involved by Kelley Armstrong. It kills me every time I have to put the book down. I think if I get my 3k words written tonight, I’m going to stay up until I finish it. Man I love Kelley’s writing. Her characters have so much depth and her plots have tons of twists and turns. Perfect!

And don’t forget, The Bond That Heals Us comes out NEXT WEEK!! Wednesday can’t get here fast enough!

Tonight’s the Night

…for getting my groove back.

That’s right everyone, I’m going to be writing up a storm! A hurricane even! Actually, I’ll be happy to write 1000 words LOL. :D

Needless to say, I’m going to hunker down in front of the old laptop and get ready to rumble. My goal is to finish the chapter that I’ve been working on for the past two week, an move the plot into the final act. I figure I have about 20k left and the first draft will be done. Then, I’ll have to go back and flush a few things out. Lots of room in the story to do that, so I’m not concerned.

The only issue I might have is my arm. As you know, I had a problem with it back in the fall (pinched nerve), well it never really got better. Recently, it’s been getting worse and I’ve been trying to keep an eye on it. I think I might actually break down and go see my doctor about it. Don’t want to stop the flow of the hurricane!!

Oh…did I mention The Bond That Heals Us releases in 21DAYS?!?!?
