State of the Bedroom…err Union

Sunday is supposed to be a day for reflection. As I sit here on my bed, cup of coffee in hand, I’m trying to get my head around a lot of news I’ve received recently. Thankfully, most of it is good! I thought I’d share with you some of the things coming up in the Christineland.

In Print

I found out on Friday that not one, or two, but three of my Ellora’s Cave books will be coming out in print in 2011! For those of you collecting the paperbacks, both The Bond That Consumes Us and The Bond That Saves Us will be hitting the shelves. I’m also thrilled to have learned that Primal Elements will also be coming out in print! I’ll keep you posted on any other updates.

New Sales

I have a very exciting new sale that I am desperate to announce, but I can’t quite yet. I just received the contract and will be sending it in shortly (must give it a good read through first). Let’s just say I’m VERY excited with this one.

EDIT: Hell, I just read the contract and signed, so I’m going to announce it anyway! I’m thrilled to say that my short story, Bruised Ego, will be in the November 2011 Berkley anthology, Agony and Ecstacy. To say I’m still in shock is an understatement. I have to thank J.K Coi for encouraging (making) me write this story right before the deadline. Even better? Her story also got in!!!

Reviews

Thank you to everyone who has bought and read No Remedy! I have received a ton of emails on this book and many people are also going back to read No Quarter. I had this review from Carla at RomFan Reviews pop up in my Google Alerts. They gave No Remedy a five hunk rating! Thanks to them and please check out their other reviews.

I know I’ve said it before, but to everyone who has taken the time to either place a review on Goodreads, the Ellora’s Cave site, a blog or even sent me an email – THANK YOU! Your comments mean so much to me.

Coming Soon

I have two releases coming out in the next few weeks! Commanding Acquisitions is my first novella in the 1-800-DOM-help series from Ellora’s Cave. Writing this book was like a gift from my (smutty) muse. Simon and Gavin came to me complete (with a bow around their necks) and the story setup really flowed. I am really excited it will be out on November 10th and I hope to have the cover to share with you shortly.

In addition, I have a short story coming out as part of the EC Merry Kinkmas line. My story Firm Touch will be out on December 6th and has to deal with….

*drum roll*

M/M Fisting.

*and waits for the audience to breath again*

I know what you’re thinking, but it is a very thinking/smutty book. According to my beta readers, it’s pretty hot too LOL! I’ll have to wait to see what you all think about it.

In Progress

With all this going on, I’m not slowing down. I am currently working on No Master, which is book three in my space pirate series. This one is dealing with Korbin, the Admiral of the Black and Zain Strand, his second in command. I’m about a third of the way through I am hoping to have it finished by the end of December.

I’ll be working on a different book for NaNoWriMo. I’m still working out all the details, but the book will be three interconnected novellas. Should be a lot of fun. :)

I also have plans to do a second book for the 1-800-DOM-help series. More on that once I get it done. :)

Well, that’s me. As always, I’ll keep people posted of updates as they happen. I wish everyone a fantastic week!

Two Reviews!!

Oh wow! I’ve had the most amazing Friday. I just received two reviews from Joyfully Reviewed.

The Bond That Consumes Us

Ms D’Abo has come up with a fantastic working group of people in a futuristic setting that is believable.  I enjoy how Ms. D’Abo writes characters that are believable and she definitely has a way with writing super sexy and erotic scenes.  The murder mystery that is intertwined along with the internal struggles Taber and Fallon face makes this book a winner.  I enjoyed The Bound that Consumes Us so much that I had to read it in one setting, no matter that it was long past my bedtime.

And, I’ve gotten a Recommened Read from Joyfully Reviewed for Primal Elements!

Primal Elements is sexy, gripping, and wholly delightful. Ben and Jenna are a classic case of seemingly opposite people attracting, only to find out they’re not very different at all.  What’s engaging about this story is that the energy between Ben and Jenna just comes off the page.  Jenna is prejudiced against Ben because of his actions years ago and Ben is too prideful to correct her misconceptions about him.  Nevertheless, the two are so physically drawn to one another that their desire overcomes their reservations and the resulting passion leads to their romantic realizations.

Thank you so much to Tanya and Shayna for the amazing reviews! HUGS!

First Review for Primal Elements!

It’s over! The week from hell is done and a new one is yet to begin…the week, hopefully not the hell part. :D

I’m in the process of editing All Bottled Up, which will be coming out from Samhain this January. I forgot how much I loved these characters and this story, but it’s funny to see how much my writing has changed since I initially wrote this. So I’ll be busy working away on this making it sparkle for you!

And I got my first review for Primal Elements! I was so excited when I saw this one from Manic Readers, I think I giggled out loud.

Primal Elements by Christine D’Abo lives up to its name by boiling things down to an elemental level, positive and negative, good and evil, love and hate. All these things must have their opposite to exist and so goes the plot of this book. The hero and heroine are completely different, but joined on a level that exceeds anything they understand. I really enjoyed the interaction between the main characters and their friends as well as how they learned to adjust to each other. A funny, entertaining and sarcastic book, Ms. D’Abo has a bright future in fiction ahead if this is anything to go by.

Thank you so much for this!

I didn’t get any new writing done this week, so my kick in the pants flopped. This week I’m totally focused on edits, so the new stuff will have to take a back seat. That is fine, as I’m mulling over a few plot points for my urban paranormal. I’m working on cleaning it up too, and am anxious to start sending it out. Soon….

What is everyone else up to this week?

Primial Elements – Launch Week!!!

Okay people…I know I’ve been slacker blogger recently, but this week is special. Yes, that’s right it’s LAUNCH WEEK!!

Primal Elements comes out this Friday. And to celebrate, I’ll be posting some fun stuff…starting with

THE COVER!!!

Oh isn’t is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!

And now for your reading pleasure…the blurb!

The last thing Jenna Robins wants for her thirtieth birthday is a trip to the Perfect Match dating service, but she is given little choice from her group of friends. What she doesn’t expect is to be “matched” with Ben Hawthorn, her arrogant and handsome, ex-boss. Her opinion of Ben hasn’t softened much since he sabotaged her research project by pulling the funding at the last minute seven years ago.

But after a night of passion and the discovery of an alien artifact, Ben and Jenna are forced to come to terms with their past relationship as the device draws them closer together physically and emotionally. They must rely on each other if they are to survive an attack from an old foe, and the force of their own attraction.

Primal Elements!!!

Oh wow, today has been fantastic! I just found out that my release date for Primal Elements, my new futuristic romance from Ellora’s Cave, is scheduled for release August 22!!

I’m so thrilled for this book to come out. Jenna and Ben are a super hot couple, who heat up the surface of the Mars colony when they discover an alien artifact.

Bondage, and aliens, and dating services…oh my? Oh yes. :D

I’m still waiting on the cover, but I’ll let you know as soon as I get it. :)

HUGS!
