Getting Over Myself

I’m not normally one for bad moods. Most people who meet me or know me in real life (opposed to web life), tend to say I’m a rather upbeat person. But when I get in a bad mood, it is a pretty sad state of affairs. Needless to say, this week hasn’t been a great one for me.

But no more!

I’m bouncing back! Not going to let this get to me! Run the proverbial dirt in the wound, get back on the horse….fill in miscellaneous bad cliché here…and get writing!

My company is leaving today, so I won’t feel bad about wanting to write at night anymore. And I’m going to try and new plan of attack with my completed manuscript that is causing me grief. Once I get it figured out, I think I’ll be able to focus on other stories.

So this is me, refocusing and getting on with my writing career. :D

  • Christine… I’ve been there, too. (Read the crazy posts on DWT? Um, about me, je pense.)

Glad to hear you’re feeling better. Me, too.

  • HUGS Amy!

Maureen, the rejections have been piling up recently. Some wonderful ones from agents really, but rejections never the less. It gets hard some days. :)

  • I’ve been in a funk off an on all year and haven’t even re-tried the agent hunt yet. Hugs, hang in there, and write another one of your terrific stories!

  • Hey there Chris,
Go and read your first acceptance letter – you have talent and write what people love to read. The rhythm of a well written sentence, a word that goes “ping” and fills the dreaded gap and ‘duh’ moment…and of course you can always stand in the middle of the room pull your hair and scream at the top of your lungs too… that can help. I can’t believe how successful you have all been while I have been gadding about the world. Well done, Robyn Mills

  • I’ve got my pompoms swishing for you, C. And I must agree with the poster above who suggested you look at your acceptance letters, fan letters, whatever you need to give yourself the boost needed to keep on keepin on.

Now, if I could only take my own advice…
