Review – The Bond That Consumes Us

I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! We had our first TRW meeting of the year, presented by the fantastic Claire Delacroix. It was a great opportunity to hear a lot of inside information on the publishing business, from a fantastic lady who really knows her stuff. My head was spinning with ideas when I was done, and I had a lot of time to plan out what I wanted to do next on my drive home.

I managed to get back into the writing swing of things as well. I made some headway with The Bond That Saves Us, and am really happy that I’ve finally worked out in my head where this plot is going. Now I just need the time to get it finished! :D

To start my week off on the right foot, I opened my Inbox to find the following review on The Bond That Consumes Us from eCataromance!

The mystery of the murders provided a fantastic backdrop for the romance. The end result will have you biting your nails until everything is resolved. Christine d’Abo’s Bond books are fantastic is more ways than one. She weaves in fantastic plots, give us realistic sympathetic characters that are easy to love and we get to visit with old friends from the first tales. The Bond That Consumes Us will leave us all wanting our very own mate like the ones Christine d’Abo creates so beautifully.

Thank you, Elise Lyn for the fantastic review! You can read it in its entirety Here!

How was everyone’s weekend? What major plans do you have for the week?

*runs in and does a frantic snoopy dance*

*gasps*

I’m so very excited (could you tell??)! I just found out that The Bond That Ties Us will be going to print this winter!!

*does another snoopy dance*

That’s right everyone, if you are planning to come to the Romanctic Times Booklover’s Convention in April, I will be there signing The Bond That Ties Us. As you know, this was my first novel, and to know that I’ll have a print copy of it soon, gives me warm and fuzzies like you wouldn’t believe.

What a way to start my Friday. :D

Head Down – Eye on the Prize

*looks up at title*

Not sure where that one came from, but I think it’s something I need to work on. I’ve been…slack with my writing recently. I’ve needed the mental break, the chance to refocus on where I want to go professionally. This has been true for both my writing career, and my day job.

With one of those now sorted, I’m able to focus on the other. I’ve done a lot of thinking, and now, I’m ready to write!

So, step one – finish The Bond That Saves Us.

Yes, all you fans of my Eternal Bond series, the last book will be finished by the end of January if it kills me! I’ll start giving you updates so you know how Sean is making out. :D

On a completely unrelated note, I’m all caught up on House, Dexter, Supernatural, and NCIS. I’m still working my way through Fringe, and 24 starts up this weekend. *sigh* I’ve gone from not having any shows that I like to watch, to a gizillion.

So how is everyone else making out? Surviving your first week of 2009?

All Bottled Up Released!

*throws confetti*

It’s out! It’s out!

My first release from Samhain Publishing is out today, and I have to say I am super excited about this. All Bottled Up was my 2006 NaNoWriMo novel, and one of the first books that I’ve written with a bit of a comedic slant to it. Yes, I know, you’d think that I’d try to write funny more, but it’s HARD! I do dark and broody so much easier. LOL!

This book is special to me because of it taking place in Halifax, NS. I lived there for just over a year, and absolutely adore the city. I wanted to try and work in some of the flavor of the location, and hope I’ve managed to do that.

I also love that this was my first successfully completed NaNoWriMo book. That competition has been a wonderful motivator for me over the years, and the sense of accomplishment I felt after “winning” with ABU was fantastic. It’s also how I met the amazing Amy Ruttan. She’s my buddy. :D

I hope you all enjoy the story, and that it makes you smile.

OMG This is freaking BRILLIANT!!!

I don’t know how many of you used to read the fantastic Choose Your Own Adventure books when you were a kid, but I LOVED them. Well, some brilliant people out there created Choose Your Own Adventure YouTube videos!!!

You have to watch the movie short, then make a decision based on what has happened. LOL!!!

You have to do this – I’m in LOVE!
