Finding My Feet

Well now that Nationals are done, I’m trying to get back into the swing of things on the writing front. Despite the fact everyone except me was sick as a dog this weekend, I did manage to get some writing done. I’d been working on book four in my Eternal Bond series, but I’ve seem to have hit a bit of a wall with that one. So I switched gears and started book two in my urban paranormal series. Yes, I know, I haven’t sold book one yet, but I’m hopeful.

The switch did me some good and I managed to get 1000 words written. I’m not sure if the story is starting in the right spot, but we’ll see where it goes. I love the female character in this book, and the hero is French…and we all know I have a soft spot for Frenchmen…

I find I do some of my better writing in the late summer and fall, so I’m hoping that pattern will continue this year. I love it when the temperature turns a bit cool, and the wind picks up. I might actually try doing some writing outside. That is if it stops raining long enough to actually get outside.

On another note, my husband and I have been rewatching Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I really love Joss Wheadon’s writing and how he sets the characters up. Knowing what happens through to the end of the show, it’s fun to pick up on all the threads that he laid down in the early episodes. Once we get done this season, I think we’re going to switch over and watch season one of Supernatural.

How was your weekend??
