Getting there
I did it! I sat my butt down in my chair last night and managed to get some writing done. Just over a 1000 words, so I’m pleased with that. Tonight I have to take the girls to Girl Guides, so I won’t be able to get started until 9:00pm, but I plan to shoot for another 1000 words.
I’m determined to finish this puppy!
And a big YEAH!! that NCIS was back on TV last night. Everyone was in fine form, the story was interesting and a nice little hook at the end. I didn’t realize just how much I missed this show.
And I think my husband is officially hooked on JR Ward. He’s currently reading Dark Lover, and seems to be really enjoying the story. I’m glad because it means I can chat with him about them.
Speaking of which, has anyone read any good urban paranormals recently? I’m looking for a new author to try and am open to suggestions.

Way to go with the words. I did not realize NCIS was back on last night, hubs was playing Guitar Hero. Now I am a bit depressed. Think I will go see if I can watch it online.
Have a great day.

Yay on finding your groove again! And I don’t have any UP’s to recommend, but did you see the book review on SDoS? I highly highly recommend it.

Hi Christine - I’ve just purchased a few new-to-me urban fantasy authors. Tempest did a post (I think it was a TT one) with urban fantasy authors fairly recently at the MM cafe.
The ones I purchased were Dead to Me by Anton Strout, Moonshine by Rob Thurman and Dog Days by John Levitt.
Have you read Nalini Singh’s Psy series? It’s paranormal rather than urban and is excellent.

I second Anton Strout’s Dead To Me!
My absolute favorites are still Vicki Pettersson’s Signs of the Zodiac series though.

I think it’s too cute that your DH is hooked on JR Ward.

Keep plugging along. And great, now as I watch NCIS on Tivo, I wait for a hook

*pouts* I blogged a couple days ago about two urban paranormals I liked - guess you missed it
Any of Kelley Armstrong’s Otherworld series, or Lynsay Sand’s Argeneau series … support Canadian talent!

hi christine
1. fab job yesterday - i think everyone enjoyed themselves, and hopefully chris didn’t feel too left out!
2. i’d read a lot of buzz about meljean brook’s ‘guardian’ series, and read book 3 (i think) - i have little to compare it with but i thought it was well worth the time, and i’m not looking to glom the backlist
