Motivation
I had a busy weekend as usual, but I managed to get in some good writing yesterday. I passed the 2k mark and feel like I’m in a good spot with the story.
I’m so glad I’m doing the Sven challenge right now. It is really keeping me going with this one. Motivation is something that is always hard for me this time of year. Between the weather and the work load, I need that extra little push to keep things rolling.
I’m also very excited that there is a long weekend coming up. Not that I think I’ll get much done in the way of writing (we’re going to stay with family), but it will be nice to have a chance to recharge. I’m going to take my laptop with me just in case though.
On another note, I hope the new TV shows start up soon! Torchwood is only on for another few weeks and then I’ll have nothing new. I’m surprised how much I’m missing House and NCIS. Other shows, not so much.
It has given me a chance to get some reading done though. I still have a huge TBR pile, but I’m slowly getting through it.
How is everyone so far this week?

I’m REALLY missing “Ugly Betty”. It was the only show on that almost all of our family loved to watch together (not 3, of course, but 9 and 13 like to watch it with us and it gave us all kinds of chances to talk about controversial things like m/m relationships and that Dad and I think it’s okay for two people to love each other no matter what sex they are).
That darn writer’s strike! I mean, I hope they get what they’re asking for, but as a reality show hater, I’m very sad so many shows are now off or in reruns.
In work news, I’m crossing the 20k point on my 70ker. I can’t wait until I get to 50k, the last act is always my favorite

Harder, Faster hour after hour our work is never over.
Yeah that sums up my week so far.
I miss The Office. That’s about it.

until 10pm, the tv is ruled by the juniors in our house. (they’re in bed by 9 but the like to keep the door open, and sound funnels way to clearly up to their room so viewing choice is severely limited).
the good part about that is that often, nothing appealling is on so it’s easier to fire up the computer…
