I’ll try and catch up with everyone tonight.

I’ve been trying to keep focused on my writing this week, but it’s been hard. I’ve only managed to get about 2000 words written on my urban paranormal, taking me to the 55k mark. It’s going well, but I still have a long way to go.

As usual, this weekend I’ll spend most of my time trying to get caught up. That said, I’m hoping to be able to take some time to get a little reading done. Maybe watch a movie or two…basically try and relax.

Down time is very important to the creative well.

Well, that and Girl Guide cookies. Man they are tastey.

Man…just when I think I’ve got my act together, things go down hill. I haven’t written a word since I’ve gotten back from Easter. I have been reading though. I’m behind in my judging for the Passionate Plume contest and need to get the score sheets out the door this week. I’m also reading something for Amy (which rocks!), and it’s taking me longer than normal to go through. I’m also behind in getting the RWAC newsletter out the door. I’m going to try and finish that up this week too.

*sigh*

The good news is that I’m in a good spot in my WIP and I’m anxious to get back to it. I’m hoping to be able to do that tonight.

I’m back everyone! I hope you all had a super fantastic weekend. I know I had a wonderful time with my family–lots of chocolate, games and wine.

I didn’t get any writing done, but I’m not overly upset about that. I did manage over 6000 words before I went away, so there wasn’t any guilt about missing this weekend. I plan on jumping back on the writing wagon today and will aim for at least 1500 words tonight.

When I got back home, much to my delight, I found this fantastic review for Chasing Phoenix from ecataromance!

A tale of sensuality and exploring the imagination, Chasing Phoenix by Christine D’Abo is also about bringing to life a fantasy. The sexy antics between Michael and Abbey left me with goose bumps while also hungering for more. I loved Abbey because she was able to discover what she wanted in a relationship and I also enjoyed Michael because he was able to look past the fantasy to find a woman who could give him what he wanted and also bring to life her hidden personalities. This book is a quickie and definitely not sweet by any means, it’s erotic and raunchy but so delicious and one I’m glad to have read.

So tell me, how was your weekend?

I just wanted to pop in for a quick minute to let you all know that I’m going to be away this weekend with limited Internet access. I hope you all have a happy Easter!!

OMG Torchwood…my fandom exploded because of “the scene” in last night’s episode. And the next new one is on TOMORROW!! Of course I’ll be away, but I’m going to do my damnedest to watch it.

OMG…so…just wow!

Oh and I did some writing. I think around 900 words.

Well not really, but I liked the sound of the title in my head.

I had a good night last night. Managed to get through some duties I’d been unable to get through (still have a pile more, but I’m working on it), wrote just over 1000 words on my WIP, AND got to watch the last two episodes of season 2 of Doctor Who (sob).

My paranormal is really starting to click…so much so this morning in the shower I figured out a major plot point that was bugging me. I’m so excited to get this written now I can’t wait for tonight!! Of course, Torchwood is on…so I have to write quickly.

Tonight I’ll be on the road for a bit. The girls have Girl Guides and my husband and I need to buy him a new computer chair. His current one is busted and it’s causing him some issues with his shoulder–too low for his desk.  So off we’ll go to buy him something nice and new and comfy.

I’ve posted over at the Six Degrees of Sexy site again today. The Cleaning Hunks are back!!

No matter what anyone tries to tell you…needing to be in the office at 6:30 am for a conference call to Singapore isn’t as glamorous as it sounds.

Last night I had to go to bed a bit earlier than normal, so I only manged to get about 1,300 words written. Which actually isn’t too bad considering. Today I’m going to try and finish up the chapter and then get to work on the synopsis. I need to get my submission for the Shomi contest finished up and sent off. Then I can worry about the rest of the book.

I had a busy weekend as usual, but I managed to get in some good writing yesterday. I passed the 2k mark and feel like I’m in a good spot with the story.

I’m so glad I’m doing the Sven challenge right now. It is really keeping me going with this one. Motivation is something that is always hard for me this time of year. Between the weather and the work load,  I need that extra little push to keep things rolling.

I’m also very excited that there is a long weekend coming up. Not that I think I’ll get much done in the way of writing (we’re going to stay with family), but it will be nice to have a chance to recharge. I’m going to take my laptop with me just in case though.

On another note, I hope the new TV shows start up soon! Torchwood is only on for another few weeks and then I’ll have nothing new. I’m surprised how much I’m missing House and NCIS. Other shows, not so much.

It  has given me a chance to get some reading done though. I still have a huge TBR  pile, but I’m slowly getting through it.
