Need to get my groove back

Anyone who knows me knows that I live to write. I can get lost in my typing and never seem to come out. But recently, I’ve been finding it hard to concentrate. It’s not the story – I love what I’m working on. I think it’s the tired factor.

This is part of the reason I’ve been the worst blogger in the world recently. I’m hardly visiting other people’s sites because I spend most of my time staring at my computer screen, trying to find the energy to write. I can’t blog hop if I haven’t met my quota of works. Needless to say, I haven’t been doing that.

So this weekend I think I’m going to make a bit of a plan for myself. Over the next few weeks I want to set out some goals (because I work well with a goal) and then hold myself accountable. My own version of Sven or NaNo. I need to do this to hopefully push past this lull and get back into the rhythm of writing.

So I wanted to see if there is anyone out there who wants to join me in a bit of a writing bootcamp. We don’t need to be as structured as Sven or NaNo, but act as more of a support group. If anyone is in, post here and on Sunday I’ll post some very basic rules for us to follow. Simple things like – write everyday, set a goal, that sort of thing.

Who is in? :D

Me!!! Seriously my writing mojo has been in the toilet and I am more than ready to kick my butt into gear.

Seriously, did you just read my post on RD? Cause it was about being tired and not writing (well, there was other more whiny stuff too, but that was the gist of it). I’m in.

But ONLY if we get a fancy name for it — or a good logo at the very least. I’m a slave to product branding ;)

I’m in. I did Sven and did some awesome numbers but I had to really push for it.

I’m trying to get back to my writing shape {grin} and have set myself some goals. So I’m in for supporting and so on.

*brining legs up one by one then putting back down then taking a stretch from side to side*

    So ready to get cracking.

Tempest, I’m thinking of goal setting and loop support. Similar to Sven and NaNo, but not as intense. I’ll do some rule writing tomorrow and will post some guidelines on Sunday.

Christine, a friend and I formed a small yahoo group called “1K a Day” on 9/1 sort of inspired by Sven but it goes all the time. There’s only 6 of us on the group right now, including Susan Helene Gottfried. We really shoot for daily writing, weekly goal setting, etc. but we’ve been a little lax lately. Maybe some new blood would inspire us again. :D If you’re interested in joining forces, you can e-mail me.

  16. 16 Leah Braemel

    Count me in too.

  17. 17 Ann Cory

Add me to the list too sugar :) I have some deadlines that I’m concerned about not making. The whole moving and holidays thing – one right after another – has really slowed my groove as well!
