Deep Breath
Well, this week is off to a fast start already. Yesterday I started work on a second project, and I have to say that I’m super excited about it. I can’t say too much at this point, but I promise to bring you up to speed on it soon. It does mean that my writing on my urban paranormal will be slowed down a bit, but not by much.
I didn’t manage to get up to write this morning due to some gee-I-feel-crappy issues, but I plan on doing an hour tonight when I get home from work. My writing goal for this week is to get at least 6000 words written on my urban para. I’m making good head way on the story, which is definitely taking me in different directions as a writer. I hope it turns out the way I hope it will.
This weekend we got the girls’ hair cut and got them ready for school. My husband is excited to have his house back to himself. While he does work from home, it’s hard to get anything done with two kids bouncing around (as a lot of you out there know).
So what were you up to this weekend?

Good luck with your goals this week Christine. I have revisions to complete for a requested full. Somehow I didn’t get everything done I wanted to over the last two weeks. But Yeah! the kids are back in school.

I’m TOTALLY with your husband on that one. I’ve been counting down the hours… and was so revved last night (in anticipation of ALL THAT I WOULD ACCOMPLISH!!) I couldn’t fall asleep. I watched the clock until 3am - and now feel like absolute crap…
So much for a big day of accomplishment. All I want is a nap

I’m intrigued as to what your project is. Look forward to hearing about it. And good for you on the urban paranormal. Sounds like your making good progress. I’ve got one that I’ve had to push back while I work on the sequel in my Nile series for Cobblestone.
I totally agree with your husband. So glad the kids went back today, though they aren’t full day until Thursday when lunch starts. Still, it was so peaceful this morning. Chaos seems to rule when my three sons come home. Tell me girls are quieter.

I struggle with that everyday because mine are not in school yet. Oldest will start preschool soon.

Awww yes, working at home doesn’t work well with children.
Boo was not happy about going back to school today that’s for sure.
I can’t wait until Sumo goes to school. (((Hugs))) to you on the gee I feel crappy. I totally get it, it’s not only the cold but other things keeping me up.
I’m trying to work on the Red Dress story but The Duke story is taking over. He wants his story and he wants it NOW the bum.

I know this mother was very happy to send her kids back to school today! I haven’t been able to write for weeks and I’m eager to get back to it.
Good luck on your writing this week, I’m sure you can do it. And I hope you feel better.

It’s not just children. Hubbys, too, can disrupt writing, although you’d think they’d know better! I’m glad the writing is going well.
Hubby and I went to a local vineyard on Sunday. It was fun.

“Gee-I-feel-crappy” issues - I’m so with you there! And I’m with hubby too - except my eldest works nights and is home all day now, so I’m NEVER alone. Waaaah! I want my house back! As for our weekend, we took the Christmas tree down - it’s bad luck to leave it up after the twelfth day of Christmas. And hubby took me out for lunch … that’s about as much excitement as I had …
