Fabio: “Clooney Is a Scumbag”

Actor Fabio has branded George Clooney “a low-class scumbag” after allegedly insulting female diners at a Hollywood restaurant. The romance icon stunned diners at the swanky Madeo eaterie when he exchanged fighting words with Clooney on November 2. But Fabio insists he was defending guests at his charity function and was forced to take action when a female dining companion complained Clooney called her “a fat cow.” He says, “(George) was drunk and thought people were taking pictures of him. So I went to the table and explained to him that we were having a charity dinner and I said, ‘You’re more than welcome to come to my table and see if there was a picture of you.’ I apologized and he started being rude so I put him in his place. After I put him in his place – you know I’m three times his size – he got a little scared. I went back to my table and as soon as I sit down he paid his bill, got up and he started insulting the girls. He called the women names. At that point I lost my temper. I went after him and he ran out of the restaurant. You have to be a low-class, scumbag to start calling a woman a name. If you’re a man, you should never. You should be a gentleman. These women were with me and as a man I defend them. He was lucky he ran out of the restaurant. He’s not even half a man.”

Now don’t get me wrong, I love George. But at the moment I have to say Fabio is up more than a few notches in my books.

NaNo – Day 19

First off I want to thank everyone who came by the Naughty’s chat yesterday, and also thank the Naughties for having us. What an incredible time! I bought a hot new book from December Quinn and Anna J Evans, called As The Lady Wishes. I can’t wait to read it tonight. :D

Needless to say, I didn’t get much writing done yesterday. Between the chat and working on my edits for The Bond That Heals Us, poor Taber had to wait until this morning. The good news is I managed to write 1787 words this morning and am moving into the third act of the story. I’m still struggling a bit with Fallon’s internal conflict, but I’ll clean it up when I do my second draft.

This puts my NaNo total at 37,603. I’m really hoping I can hit 40,000 in the next day or two. Depending on how I’m doing with my edits on Heals, I might try to sneak in some more writing after supper.

How was your weekend?

And there was much rejoycing in the land!

I got scared yesterday as I was working on The Bond That Consumes Us for NaNo. I finished chapter nine and was about to work on ten when I realized I had no “issues” for my heroine. It didn’t hit me until Taber asked her a simple question and I had her running out of the room. Why, why would she react that way.

And then her entire backstory hit me. Now normally I’m one for planning out my characters intensly. For some reason I didn’t do this with Fallon. But that’s okay because Taber saved my baccon by asking a simple question, “Why the hell are you out in space as a bartender when you clearly don’t want to be there.” Okay he didn’t actually say that, but it was along those lines. :D

So I now know that why and will be able to work it in to the rest of the story. The good news is it will be easy enough to add in elements into the parts I’ve already written and it will really help with the ending of the story.

*does the happy dance*

I managed to write 5100 words yesterday, bringing me to a total of 35,583 for NaNo. I’m hoping to get more done today before our chat session with the Naughty Authors. If you are free, you should stop by and say hello!

NaNo – Day 17

Happy Saturday everyone. I didn’t get much done yesterday on the writing front. I was busy at an all day meeting at my EDJ and it pretty much sucked what little life I had in me by the time I got home. That said, I’m working hard at it today.

I’ve managed 1000 words so far this afternoon, and plan on doing a lot more. I’m trying to give myself little breaks as I go to keep my creative levels up.

I also wanted to share my good news! Little Sunshine from Joyfully Reviewed gave The Bond That Ties Us, this fantastic review. Thanks so much!!

I wanted to remind everyone that I, along with the other Six Degree of Sexy sisters will be chatting over at The Deliciously Naughties writers group tomorrow from 12-6 pm EST. You can sign up for the group here! Please stop by and say hello. :D

*walks into the room with her ears still ringing*

HI THERE…oops sorry. Hi there…

The concert was awesome last night! We saw The Tragicially Hip and Van Halen in Toronto and my ears really are still ringing. Well, the Hip and Halen were playing, I missed the hip because of not being able to get through TO rush hour traffic in time *grumbles*.

For those of you who don’t know who they are (awesome Canadia band), here you go!

Van Halen…was awesome! I have to be honest and say I was never a huge fan. I love some of there songs, don’t get me wrong. But what a kick ass performance! Dave was jumping and kicking and looking mighty fine on stage. And Eddie is Eddie. I have a whole new appreciation for them after seeing them perform live.

We didn’t get home until after midnight, so needless to say I didn’t get up at 5:30 am to write. I’ll be doing that tonight after work. I plan on getting a bottle of wine and putting myself through a writing marathon this weekend. We’ll see how many words I can crank out. I’ll keep you all posted. :D

What are your plans for this weekend??

Thursday Thirteen

thursdaybanner2.gif

Tonight I’m going to a concert! My place of employment is putting on a surprise concert for all of our employees, and no, we don’t know who it is going to be. It’s very exciting and cool at the same time. They did this a few years ago and had Aerosmith and The Barenaked Ladies play for us. :D

So I thought for this week’s Thursday Thirteen, I’d list thirteen guesses of the bands people think will be playing. I’ll let you all know tomorrow who it was.

1. The Police

2. Van Halen

3. The Tragically Hip

4. Barenaked Ladies

5. Bon Jovi

6. U2

7. Dave Matthews Band

8. Greenday

9. Aerosmith (I doubt it is, but a lot of people want them back)

10. Rolling Stones

11. Nickleback

12. Led Zepplin (I didn’t even know they were back together)

13. Rush

So who do you think I’ll be seeing tonight??

NaNo – Day 14

I’m hungry. That’s my big relevation this morning. I’m hungry. I guess that means I should get up and eat.

It was a bit harder to get out of bed this morning. Not because I didn’t want to write, but because I wanted to keep dreaming. Taber is everywhere these days…

So up I got. I have also just received the beginning edits for my Jewel of the Nile novella, The Wizard’s Thief. That means I’ll be working on new material in the morning, and doing edits on Thief when I get home from work. Thankfully, my husband had gotten huge chunks of our stuff put away already, so I don’t feel too guilty writing instead of cleaning.

On another note, Red Garnier has a new release today. You all need to run over to Ellora’s Cave and pick up Spin Some More. OMG this book rocked. Hot, hot, hot!! Jason is getting his dues this time with the devil – and boy does he get them. If you’ve read her other Devilish Games books, you really don’t want to miss this.

Go…buy!

NaNo – Day 13

Good morning everyone! The sun is up and I’ve just finished my morning wiriting session. It went well today, so I’m really excited about it. I managed to get 1822 words written and I’m hoping to get a few more done today at lunch…as long as I get a lunch…

If not, I’ll sit down tonight for an hour and try to get some more done. I’m getting close to the 30,000 word mark for NaNo and would really like to hit it before the end of the day tomorrow. I’m sitting at 27,445 so I think this is doable.

How was your Monday? Mine was good, though instead of boxes, I’m surounded by piles of stuff. Our goal is to get everything put away by the end of the week. Having someone unpack for you is great motivation to acutally unpack. I swear we emptied boxes I hadn’t opened from three moves ago.

I’m also posting over at Six Degrees of Sexy this morning, talking about speed plotting. Remember my motto people: when in doubt, blow it up!

What are you up to today??

NaNo – Day 12

Okay, I was obviously not with it last night when I typed my note. I really meant NaNo day 11, not day 10. Needless to say my husband was smarter than I was and told me not to write anything. So instead we watched a few episodes of NCIS. We only have one episode left of season 4 and will be starting season 5 tonight. I have to say the one good thing about the writer’s strike is that I’ll be able to get all caught up on shows.

So today the kids are in school and there is a company to come unpack our things. As I said, we did a lot of it already, but they will be putting together desks and shelves, etc.  It should give me a chance to get caught up on some blogs and to get some writing done. I feel like I’ve fallen a bit behind the curve when it comes to NaNo, even though I know I haven’t. Like always, I’m pushing myself too hard and am being too hard on myself with the results.

That said, I am happy with the story itself so far. The plot will need a bit in the way of plumping up when I’m done, maybe a subplot added, but I like it. If I can get the first draft done before Christmas (and hopefully the second draft too), then I’ll be a happy camper.

NaNo – Day 11

Just a quick note to let you all know I’m alive…I feel every muscle in my body. I love my kids, but they were driving us nuts today as we were trying to get unpacked. Can’t blame them in a way, but it makes for a long day for everyone.

I haven’t been in front of my computer until just now, so needless to say I didn’t get much in the way of writing done. I’m about to soak in the tub and have a glass of wine. Then I’m going to attempt to get at least 1000 words written before I call it a night and watch NCIS. Man I love that show.

How was everyone elses weekend??
