Today is packing day in the d’Abo household. And no, we are not doing it. Part of the relocation deal is work hires someone to come in and pack everything for us. The movers will be here tomorrow and Friday to put everything in the truck and then we’re off. So while we don’t have a lot to do, I find myself getting emotional, missing the friends that I’ve made here over the past year. Basically, I feel like this right now:
Writing hasn’t happened at all this week. I was actually home sick yesterday (still feel icky, but I’m at work anyway), and I’ve been getting caught up on my reading. I’m not stressing about it at all. I think I owe myself the small break. I might not do much in the way of writing next week either, but I do plan on doing some plotting so I’m ready for NaNoWriMo.

At night we’ve still been watching NCIS getting all caught up. We’re on season three now, and I’m still loving the show. I can’t wait until I can actually see all the new episodes on it’s regular night. It’s officially been added to my must watch list.

I still can’t believe you’re leaving – it feels like you just got here! I really hope you can make it down for the retreat in May. I added you on my Nano buddies list. Can’t wait for Nov 1 to get started!

Having someone else pack for you is the best way to do it. We are still catching up on TiVo here, so it was last weeks House last night.

Big Hugs, I’m waiting here for you. I’m sorry you’re feeling icky. The only big move I’ve ever made was from the Eastern side of Ontario to the South western side of the arrow. You know the schlong of Canada. LOL!

Someone moved me once, I moved myself the other three times. Having someone do it is easier physically. But it does give you too much time to think and get emotional. Good luck.

Good luck with the move, Christine. Gonna miss seeing you at the meetings, but as I said before, I’m sure our paths will cross again at some point.
A lot of people are sick at the moment. Hope moving day goes well for you. Someone doing all the packing sounds like a great idea to me!!
I hope everything goes smoothly with the move. It sucks when you don’t feel well and have to deal with something this huge. Do you have to show up at work right away or do they give you some time to resettle.
Keep us posted on how it goes and don’t worry about the writing. It’ll still be there when you’re ready.

I’ve never had anyone else pack and move me or my stuff before. It must be easier physically, but harder emotionally. There’s a lot of time to think. I hope the move goes well and you settle into your new home quickly.
