After weeks of me bitching and complaining I finally finished my novella yesterday!! This is only the first draft and it needs a good clean up, but I’ve never been so happy to type the words The End before. Yes, I actually typed them at the end of the manuscript. LOL!

It’s funny that sometimes writing can come so naturally to me and other times its an exercise in pain. I still love the feeling of creating characters and putting them through hell. I guess it’s only fair they do the same to me on occasion. I’m going to spend a part of today reading through what I have, might make a few changes, and then I’m walking away from this one for a bit.
This means I’m free to work on whatever I want for the next few weeks. I was considering taking a short break, but I don’t think I can. Writing keeps me sane, and the next two weeks are going to be crazy with my move.
This weekend I have to get my girls off to Girl Guide cookie day and have my oldest daughter’s eighth birthday party. Seven girls in my basement watching a movie, playing the Wii and eating pizza. It should be fun. I also get to go to my last RWAC meeting on Sunday. I’m going to miss them.
What are you up to??
Mazel Tov, babe!!!
Congratulations! I always type THE END. Figure by that point, I deserve it!
Woohoo! Congratulations on finishing, Christine!
Love the snoopy happy dance.
Christine, congrats on finishing the novella!! Yey!!
THE END. What pretty words after you’ve struggled so hard. And I can relate to what you said; sometimes it comes so naturally. Sometimes it IS an excercise in pain. BUT YOU DID IT, C!! YEY!
Congrats!! God, that can be a relief sometimes isn’t it? I always write a short story or something after a big grueling project that puts me through my paces. It makes my muse happy to be able to start chapter one and type the end within a couple of weeks or so, lol.

Hope to be happy dancing with you soon, Christine. I’m in the home stretch (I think!).
Congrats, girl!! Take your break, rent movies, read a few books and recharge before the BIG MOVE. Soon you’ll be ours
Sorry I won’t be there for your last RWAC meeting, Christine. :
Hey – the rest of my comment got sucked into the Netherworld…
Here’s my previous sad face :

Hmm… I have an idea as to why all my comments have gone missing. It was my sad face. So no more sad faces! Even though I miss you already!
I’m going to miss you too Julia! You’ll have to let me know the next time you are in Toronto.
I am going to TRW this Saturday and meeting Julia for the first time.
It’s me and the DH’s 5th Anniversary. I need to get some more writing done. Don’t know if I will though.
I’m psyching myself out for NaNo.
Congrats for finishing the novella. WOOHOO! I love the dancing Snoopy too! If you need me to read it over, let me know.
Way to go! Now I just need to finish my next WIP so I can borrow that dancing Snoopy…
Way to go! Though what will you whine about now?
Congrats on finishing, Christine. I knew you could do it. Getting the first draft down is a painful process at times. I love your dancing snoopy picture. Have a fun weekend!
Hubby and I have been hunting for a new BBQ. Talk about an involved process. My feet are sore from checking out all the different shops!
Woohoo on finishing the ms, Christine. I can’t wait to meet you when you finally make it up here (but I still don’t envy you that move!)
Yeah! on finishing the MS.
I’m going to try to get some writing in this weekend. As well as picking out a bathroom light fixture and mirror.
congrats sweetie!
Whoo hoo! great news on finishing
Thanks for stopping by my blog and wishing me luck. Lately writing, while I love it, hasn’t come easy to me. Glad to know you succeeded despite that obstacle. Hopefully I can do it to!
CHeers!
Good job on finishing! Even a rough first draft is awesome progress!
We cleaned up our rec room this weekend, and I’m anxious to get back to the writing tomorrow.
