Best Laid Plans

Today being a holiday here in Canada, I was planning on writing up a storm. My goal is to get my novella finished so I can start planning out my next story for NaNoWriMo. I only have about 8000 words to go in this novella, and if I have a solid day of writing, I could get most of that done.

Of course, life never quite works out the way we have it planned. I’m now suffering fromĀ a pinched nerve in my arm. I can barely type with my right hand, and have even switched my mouse hand to my left.

*sigh*

I’m going to try and get a little writing done, just because I haven’t done any in a week. I’m not going to push it too hard though.

So this week, I’m going to try and get my novella done, plan out my paranormal, and maybe do a bit of writing on Taber’s story. I’m not going to go hard core writing on that one until after Christmas. Though Taber has been pounding at my head late at night recently. He wants me to get Fallon in his bed. Big time.

  • Oh girl, I’m so sorry to hear about your arm. You better go to the doc and have that check out. Meanwhile, let it rest. :)

    BTW, Happy Canadian Thanksgiving! :)

  • Christine HUGS on the nerves, sweetie. I really feel for you! And don’t push it too hard . . . but . . . YES!! Me. Want. Taber. Me. Want. Taber. Now! ;) And Happy Canadian Thanksgiving!

  • Pinched nerve. OUch, big hugs to you! Happy Turkey Day and we’re not getting any thinner without any dinner. LOL! ;)

  • Ouch! I’m so sorry to hear about the pinched nerve — I hope it’s better soon, and take good care in the meantime, don’t overdo. And Happy Thanksgiving to you! :)

  • You can do it! I took a break, too. We can get back into the swing of things together!

  • It’s hard to let it rest, but ironically still the quickest way for it to get better. I just had a sprained wrist on my writing hand – I had to wrap it so that I couldn’t use it, no ifs, ands or buts. Didn’t take long – now it’s good. But you have to let yours rest!

  • To quote the old cliche – best laid plans of mice and men … yeah, I sat down at the computer in the office at 9 a.m. with plans to write and have been working on Margie Lawson’s homework ever since. It’s now 7 pm and I’ve not written forward on my Jewels doc. *sigh*

Take care of that hand of yours – repetitive stress, do you think? *snickers* I could make a joke about just what you MIGHT have been doing to have strained it but I’ll refrain. This time. *snickers again*

  • Happy holiday, but I’m very sorry to hear about your arm/hand! Ugh. Since I’ve been battling wrist pain, I’m feeling the ouch with you! Hugs and take care of yourself.

  • Ouch. That doesn’t sound very nice. Hope you had a wonderful holiday.

  • Take care of that hand Christine. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving.

  • OUCH!
I’ve got carpel tunnel syndrome myself, so I know how frustrating it can be to WANT to be productive, but simply unable to go as fast as your mind…

Take care of yourself and make that chiropracter appt!
