Sven vs J.R. Ward

It’s been an ugly battle everyone. For a while J.R. was coming out ahead, she was swinging with both fists and backed by The Brotherhood. But then, yesterday, Sven made a surprise comeback! He muscled his way in and made his presence known.

That’s right ladies, I wrote yesterday! Not just managed to eek out a few lines here and here, but actually sat down and let it pour out of me. I got my five pages, for a total of just over 3000 words. I was so happy! It’s not the most I’ve ever written at one time, but the most I’ve written recently at one time. Plus this next chapter will be a love scene and those are always fun to write. :D So today I’m pumped and ready to go. I’m aiming for another five pages by the end of today, which would put me at a total of 12 since Monday.  Cross your fingers that I can get it done.

Of course, once I finished the scene I was working on, I immediately grabbed Love Revealed and read until I fell asleep. I’m about halfway through Butch’s story and love it – hate what’s happening to him, but love the story. :)

I was going to post some pictures from Comic Con last night, but our power was out for a few hours. Have no idea why either. So I’m going to turn that into a Thursday Thirteen tomorrow so you can see all the craziness. :)

  • I can’t decide if I’m more envious of your word count, or of the fact that you still have fresh JR Ward to read…

    :)

  • Yay on those five pages, Christine. Maybe it’s the nice weather that’s making it hard to write, because I’m right there with you.

  • Oh… that was a fun read! Although I admit I like Zsadist story best. Heh! Now I can’t wait to read Vishious story. :)

Good to hear you were able to write some! I hope Sven cracks his whip again and makes you write some more today.

  • thanks christine. yes, writing comedy is very hard – i like to feel sorry for myself often, thinking how anyone can write tragecy (g) just by having a kitten be run over, or something.
btw – any suggestions of books readers have found funny are gratefully accepted

  • Lalalalala closing ears so I can’t hear you reveal JR Ward stuff. I’m picking up the first book tonight from my TBR pile. Should I? I mean I have been doing Sven proud … well WE all need a break.

I’m starting the first one tonight.

  • Woohoo! Way to go, Christine! I need to get back on track, and I think I’ve finally cleared a hurdle and have some ideas to get going. Hopefully I’ll be able to ride your wave …

  • Oh Amy you are going to love them! I only really started reading them last week and will be finished book four tomorrow. So good…

Maya, if you can get ahold of Molly O’Keefe’s Dishing It Out, that is an excellent one. Really, anything of Molly’s is a must read, but her Flipside books are excellent.

  • I am so happy you were able to write, Christine!! I completely forgot today I’m at the Raven blog, if you can stop and say hi!!

    I’d love some company!

  • Oooh you went to comic con? I’m so jealous! And congrats on the writing!!! I finished a new ms yesterday and was on a high all day. :)

  • Looking forward to the comic con photos…does your husband know that Canada is the hacker and downloading capital of the world?

I watched a lot of the comic con on tv…

Congratualtions on your writing count and getting that done…this is the weather for summer reading too.

    Back tomorrow…for TT

  • LOL – When it came to writing I just gave in and let JR Ward have her way. You’re obviously much stronger than me! Good luck with the writing.
