New Car

Sometimes things just happen…

Our van was having issues over the past little while. Well, on our trip it died and not in a good way. So today my husband and I went off and bought ourselves a new car. This is the first new car I’ve gotten in six years, so it was exciting. So in two hours I’ll be picking up my new, 2008 Toyota Corolla. I’m excited to have a new car, not so happy about having a car payment. But such is life. At least it’s safe, which my van really wasn’t.

And it has air conditioning!! I’m really happy about that. :D

Vacation Haze

Well, this has been a great vacation so far. I’ve had a wonderful time visiting my family (even though we’ve had car problems) and have even got to spend time with some friends who I haven’t seen in a long time.

On the writing front, I finished The Bond That Heals Us! My very wonderful friends Red and Amy are giving it a once over for me, and then I’m going to be sending it off to my editor! I’m very excited that this one turned out as well as it has. It also means that I can go back to my Wizard’s story and finish it up. :D

Poor Sven has been abandoned this week though. Other than adding a few suggestions Red gave me, I haven’t written since I got off the plane. That will change next week when I get home and can actually have some time to myself. The prologue and firstĀ chapter of my urban romance are done, but I’m not going to work anymore on it until I get the Wizard’s story finished.

I also have edits for Sweet and Spicy Spells that need to be done this week. I guess I’m busier than I realized LOL!!

I hope you are all well and thank you very much for the wonderful birthday wishes! I had a great day yesterday. :) HUGS to all of you!

So, how have things been for you??

It’s my birthday!!

Oh yeah it’s party time everyone! Today is my birthday and there will be lots of cake consumed. :D I’m happy to be able to be home and able to share today with my friends and family. I’ll try and share some pictures with you later on. My dad’s computer isn’t the fastest. ;)

Where oh where has Christine gone…

Well it’s been a crazy week everyone. I flew back home on Friday, only to hop into my car and drive to my parent’s house in NB. We then went camping this weekend and I’ve just made it back. We had a blast and the kids got to go swimming, have a campfire and eat marshmallows. :D

I’ll be off and on most of this week while we are here, but will be back to normal next week. I’m sorry to everyone whose sites I normally visit. I’ll be back around soon. I hope you’re all having a great weekend and I’ll be back soon. :)

BTW – thank you to everyone who came to my chat last week. We had a lot of fun!

No TT This Week

I was going to try and do one, but with being on the road and everything else on my plate this week I can’t do it. Please feel free to post in the comments to say hi though! I’ll try and stop by and visit everyone Thursday night. :)

Chat Information

Hello everyone!

To participate in the chat tonight you need to click this link and down load the program. Once you have it installed you will connect to the Cafe (don’t worry they have a greeter there) and you can come chat with me!!

I hope you can all make it. :D

Chat Tonight!

I’m very excited to be hosting my very first chat tonight at the Romance Galleria! I’m also terrified that I’m going to have technical issues because I’m staying at a hotel and the port the Galleria uses might be blocked. If that’s the case, I might be going to visit a friend and poach their Internet connection for an hour…

I am trying to get a direct link to the chat room and find out all the requirements for you today. As soon as I have the link, I’ll post it on my blog, so make sure to check back!

On the writing front, I did a little editing last night on The Bond That Heals Us. I’ve crossed the 67,000 word mark and I still have over half the novel left to edit. I plan on finishing the book either this week (yeah I’m dreaming) or next week (more likely). Once I’ll get my wonderful, charming, beautiful beta readers to read it :D , I’ll send it off to my editor.

Then I’ll start work on the urban romance. No title for it yet, but I still have another plane ride. :D

Quick Post

Hi there.

Well I only have time for a quick post today. I’m away on a business trip and my EDJ is keeping me pretty busy. I managed to plot out an entire new series while I was on the plane. I have not only the characters and main plot for book one, but the entire backstory and big plot that will carry over from book to book. I’m really excited about this one and will be starting it as soon as I get The Bond That Heals Us cleaned up and sent off to my editor.

I have a longer poster over atĀ Six Degrees of Sexy this morning on where author’s get their ideas. Come on over and say hi!

Chat with Christine!

I wanted to let everyone know that I am hosting a chat at The Romance Galleria on Wednesday, August 22, 2007 from 9:00 pm EST to 10:00 pm EST. I’ll be talking about The Bond That Ties Us, my upcoming releases and future projects. I’d love it if you all stopped by to say hi!

Thoughtful Blogger Award!

My good friend Wylie has honoured me with the Thoughtful Blogger Award. I’m both flattered and humbled to accept such an offering from such a wonderful blogger.

Now the fun part! I get to pass it along. There are so many wonderful people out there, but I’d like to honour Julia, Angela, Margaret, and the ladies of the Midnight Moon Cafe!
