Somedays…

I’m so not feeling well today. Which sucks because it’s Saturday and I wanted to do stuff. I can’t even tell you right now what stuff I wanted to do. *BLAH* I love my children, but they seem to know when I’m not up to par, because they act crazy.

In fact, I feel very much like The Untalkitive Bunny in this skit right now. Yes, another bunny show. Except this one is a crazy Canadian cartoon.

Last night I watched Sense and Sensibility and was reminded how much I love that story. I found it on DVD for $6, so that made it extra sweet. I hope you’re all having a great weekend so far!

OMG

The Bond That Ties Us is coming out in two weeks!!

Odds and Ends Friday

I had a wonderful night last night. I actually sat down in front of my computer and wrote something! I haven’t done much writing at all this week and it felt good to get back at it. I’m hoping to steal away some time this weekend to get another chapter started. :) Was I working on the wizard story…*sigh* no. But I did get most of chapter one of the follow up novel to The Bond That Ties Us done. I might do a fast draft to finish the wizard up so I don’t lose the flow with that one and then I can dive guilt free into The Bond That Heals Us.

I was also on the Romance Diva’s board last night and saw this announcement. It sounds wonderful if you’re not going to Nationals this year and are looking for something to do.  It’s hard to believe that Thursday Thirteen has been around for 100 weeks. I’ve only been participating for 33 of those, but it has been a wonderful experience. I have met so many amazing people and learned so much from them, it’s amazing. In honour of this special occasion, here are thirteen of my favourite TTs! Some are mine, some are friends! I hope you enjoy. :)

1. Stretches for Writers - very important to remember to do this!

2. Myths - don’t be fooled by some of these.

3. Goals for 2007 - it’s fun to go back and see how much I’ve actually accomplished this year.

4. Thirteen Things I like On YouTube - these still make me giggle.

5. 30 Second Bunny Theatre - We can’t forget the bunnies!

6. Thirteen Ways to Love Your Lover - Enough said. :D

7. Sci-Fi Chick Angela’s 13 Drawings - Angela is a wonderful artist. Make sure to stop by and check these out.

8. Rhian’s Animal Totems - I’m always learning something from Rhian’s site. Here is only one example of the awesome information she gives us on a weekly basis.

9. Wylie’s Colours - A great bloging friend, Wylie is another person I’m always learning from. Here is a great post on colours and what they mean.

10. Amy Teaching her computer - I need to get voice recognition software just so I can hear it say some of these things!

11. Red’s Lessons - It’s nice to see what we can learn from other people.

12. Thomma Lyn The Novelist - Someone else who I’m constantly learning from.

13. Christine’s Pictures - I’ll end with myself.

There are so many other great blogs and posts out there. I can’t wait to see other people’s favourites!

Review – Spin It Again

I have the very good fortune of meeting Red Garnier in the blogsphere. Not only is she a wonderful lady, she’s one hell of an erotic author. Last night I was fortunate enough to receive a copy of her newest book, Spin It Again. This is the second in the Spin Devil series, and it doesn’t disappoint. It is available from Ellora’s Cave today!!

David is a mess. Ever since he returned from Florida and the one night of crazy sex games he and his friends played, his world has fallen apart. More important than losing his job, friends and his self-respect, he’s lost Evie. The one woman he’s ever loved.

Evie is angry. But more than that, she feels it was something she’d done that had driven David into the arms of not one, but two women a year ago. When he storms back into her life a year after she kicks him out, she doesn’t know what to think or feel any longer. She hates him, but knows he’s still the only man for her.

Red builds the tension between David and Evie really well. By the time he shows up at her apartment, we know there is only one way things can go between them. I love how tortured David comes across in Spin It Again. He knows he’s screwed up and is willing to do anything Evie wants if she will only forgive him. Evie is a very strong woman, who in the end finds it in her heart to forgive the man she loves.

If you read Spin Devil and loved it, you don’t want to miss Spin It Again. If you haven’t read it…what’s wrong with you! Go get it now. ;)

Great job Red!

Changes, Goals, and Release Dates

And breathe…

Well, I’m back into my normal routine for my life (sort of) and am still recovering from the insanity of the weekend. I had a great time and got a lot done on  both the family/personal side as well as the writing. So many things happening in such a short period of time.

First, I wanted to let you know that ML of Moonglade Designs has gone through my site and done some wonderful tweaking. I now have information on both The Bond That Ties Us and Chasing Phoenix. I’ll also be starting with a new monthly newsletter. I would love for you to all sign up! I’ll be talking about books, writing, movies, and anything else I can think of. :D Heck, I might even run a contest or two. ;) Please check out the changes and let me know what you think.

Second, I just found out that my blogging buddy Joley Sue Burkhart and I share the same release date!! Survive My Fire will be coming out on July 20th! There will be a major party in blogland on that Friday. :) Make sure to check out her site to read up on this wonderful story. I can’t wait to get my hands on it. :D

Finally, I realized with me being away I totally missed my Sunday goals postings. Oh well, Tuesday goal postings will have to do. :D

  • Write another chapter of the wizard’s story
  • Finalize the plot for sequel to The Bond That Ties Us (so excited about this one!!)

I know all you folks in the States have tomorrow off. Do you have any major plans? And to all my Canadian buddies, I hope you had a great Canada Day long weekend!

Back from the beach

Hello everyone! I made it back from PEI in one piece. We had a great time, despite the fact it was cold and rainy for two of the three nights. The kids had a great time and we got to see lots. We want to go back next year and just hang out in some of the more kid friendly areas. I went to the Cows store and got myself this new t-shirt! If you haven’t seen these before check them out!

I’m glad everyone enjoyed the excerpt! Remember, The Bond That Ties Us is set to release on July 20th!

I’m still not 100% with it today, but I’ll be back into the swing of things tomorrow when I get back to work *sob*.
