Hubby home!!
I’m doing the happy dance this morning because my husband made it home safe and sound last night…and he brought presents!! I’ll be taking pictures tonight of some of the cool things I have, but right now as we speak I have Doctor Who on my desk! He has a sonic screwdriver! I’m such a geek!
Yesterday, I managed to get 2000 words written on The Bond That Heals Us. I’m not sure, but the story just got really emotionally intense on me. I think I’m going to be good for another chapter, maybe two and then I’ll have to move into the last part of the story. I’m closing in of the 40k mark and hope I have enough story to get me through to 60k. Then I’ll go back and layer in some more emotion and clean up the plot. I really hope to be done this by the end of August and get it sent off to my editor.

Congrats on the safe hubby and the 2k!! That’s awesome. I hear you on the emotional thing. The urban fantasy I just finished had me crying in the middle. That’s never happened ot me before. I mean, I’ve been like sad for my poor tortured characters and shit, lol, but never flat out weepy (not a weepy girl :)). I”m hoping that means it’s a good book, lol. Hoping anyway!
Good luck on getting TBTHU done by the end of August

Good news on your husband. Caught the fornt page pciture of Com Con on the San Diego Union Tribune paper. Sounds like it was one of the best years yet. I hope you’ll post a bit of what he tells you.
Congrats on all that writing. Good for you. I’ve finished my novella and am polishing up the synopsis and query to get it in by the Aug. 1st deadline. Wish me luck. I’ll be rooting for you too.
I’m taking your book with me to the US.
Got it on my hotmail account and plan to download and read it on my dad’s computer. Can’t wait. I love the premise. And even though I haven’T read it, I’m a sucker for a sequel, so keep up the good work.

Yay on your story taking you by surprise in the emotion department. You can’t get much better than that.

Glad to hear your hubby made it home safe and that he had a good time. I love when mine comes home with presents after he’s been on the road. Good luck with finishing your story. It’s funny how one day things can flow and you get an entire chapter written, then others you get nothing done. Hope your mojo continued and you make your deadline!

I’m coming up to ON Maya, but a week too late to catch the August meeting.
But I’m hoping to make it up again soon.
