Sven, the Brotherhood and some good news
Happy Monday Morning!! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I know mine was very good, even though I didn’t get done everything that I wanted to get done. My husband had a great time at Comic Con. He is flying home today with gifts and pictures. He’s tired, but happy and looking forward to coming home. I’ll have some pictures to share with you tomorrow.
I got a bit of good news this morning! The Bond That Ties Us won The Romance Studio’s Book of the Week!! Thank you so much to everyone who voted for me.
It’s given me a great boost and I can’t wait to get back into writing the follow-up book The Bond That Heals Us.
Speaking of Heals, Sven is annoyed with me again. I only wrote ten pages last week. I have a couple of great days, but then with hubby being away and my parents up, I didn’t get much done. And when I did have time, I was spending it with another man…well men actually.
I finished reading J.R. Ward’s Dark Lover on Friday night. I was so sucked in I picked up Lover Eternal Saturday and finished it. I’m now half way finished Lover Revealed and have book four sitting on my night stand. OMG THESE ROCK!!! She is an amazing author and I can’t believe I stumbled on to these as late as I did. Thanks to Wylie for pointing me in this direction.
So Sven and I are going to start again fresh this week. My goal is a lofty 35 pages. Let’s hope I can stay focused and get it done.
What are you up to this week?

Oh yeah, I remember getting sucked into the Brotherhood myself. I’ve been strong and haven’t yet read book 4. I know it’s here in the house somewhere, but I sort of hid it from myself until I have time to read it. I slammed through the first draft of a short longer story (14K) for a 7/31 deadline, so I’m wishing I had today off from the EDJ.

Yay on winning the contest! As for JR Ward’s books, a friend of mine gave me all 4 of them, and I sat down to read them all in a week. My favorite is still Zsadist’s story. *wg* I can’t wait for the new installment of this series coming out in October. It’s Vishious’s story. And here I thought he had a thing for Butch… Hm…

I have the Ward books sitting on my TBR pile. I have to pick one up … but maybe not, I want to keep my smoking momentum up, cause when I get a burst like that … I don’t write again for a couple of days which blows.

I love finding a new author with a backlist!
And who is this Sven guy and why is he giving you such a hard time??

OMG I loved the JR Ward Books - my favourite is Rhage’s, but Butch’s was a close second behind that, even though I wasn’t keen on the heroine on that one.
I can’t wait to see what she does with Vishous although I heard rumours about it down in Dallas - some ppl who were standing in line with me had been to a luncheon she’d held where she told about what’s happening in the upcoming books - and how the readers won’t like Tohr anymore …

Yes, Wylie, I love you!
Kelly, Sven is our mascot for the 70 Days of Sweat challenge. Which I’m falling behind with right now. *sigh*

Congratulations on the WIN, Christine!!!!!!!!! Yey, yey, yey!!! I’m so glad you have your hubby back, and I have been equally pissing off Sven so need to really get down to business today.
Don’t frown but I have NOT read JR WARD. But now that you say it’s so awesome, I will! =) Cheers to more procrastinating, lol!

Congrats on the award! And Comic-con pics would be awesome
I’ve just caught up with Sven today, after about 4 days of falling behind (oh noes) - and while he is a jerk, he’s a useful jerk.
Hopefully I’ll get ahead because all this week I’m packing to head back to university.
Congrats again!

Wow, congrats on the contest win. TRS rocks for promo etc. I’m a recent convert to JR Ward and read them one after the other in June. My agent recommended them. They’re just awesome reads and I can’t wait for the release of the fifth one in the series. Late Sep, I believe.

I can’t really even imagine writing 35 clean pages in a week. Today I think I did maybe four, and that’s more than I’ve done forever–I’m definitely happy.
Glad you found a new series–that’s always great, isn’t it?
