Slacking…
Well…I only wrote two pages yesterday. In my own defense, I had to mow the lawn. I mean I really had to mow the lawn. We’ve had nothing but rain for the past week, and the weeds were getting out of control. It took me about two and a half hours to get everything done. My poor husband was doubled over pulling weeds from our pathway and driveway the whole time. I’d much rather mow.
Last night I also participated in the Ellora’s Cave Writer’s Space chat. It was a lot of fun, and I met some very cool new people. By the time it was done, it was after 10:00 pm and I was pretty tired. So we watched last week’s episode of Last Comic Standing and I went to bed.
Now that my excuses are done, I’m going to buckle down tonight and really try to get some writing done. I had a break through with the plot, which has me revved up. I love it when something just pops into my head as the characters are working through something. So my goal for today is to try and flush that out.
Today I’ll also be sharing excerpts from some of my stories on the Ellora’s Cave chat group. Please feel free to stop by to say hi and read some hot and steamy blubs.
I’ve also put up a super sexy post on 6 Degrees of Sexy about comma usage. That’s right! Grammar time! I hope you can stop by and say hi!
Finally, I want to thank all the people who have voted for The Bond That Ties Us as The Romance Studio’s pick of the week! I love you all. ![]()

That’s a lot of lawn to mow - 2 1/2 hrs. And it was humid and sticky. Good luck with the writing today. Don’t know how you can work on more than one project at a time. I tried that and just didn’t get much writing done on either project.

My lawn has little safari groups roaming through it.

Where’s the EC chat group?!!! I’ve never heard of it before!
And good for you on getting the lawn mowed - that’s why I had two sons. Not that they ever cut the grass when I ask them, I swear it would be just as easy to do it myself by the time I’m done nagging them.

Since you don’t have enough things on the go, I tagged you for a Moaning Meme. Actually, it’s very theraputic.

I goofed off last night and watched the British version of The Office.
It’s been dry here. So my lawn is all brown and crackly.
The comma post was Super Zexy.

I hate yard work, but I feel so satified to look out at a great, neatly tended lawn! I haven’t gotten any work done on my WIP in a week–vacation totally throws you off schedule, doesn’t it?

I live in an apartment so I don’t have to do yardwork but there is always plenty of houseword to do!
Picked up The Ties that Bind. Can’t wait to read it, but give me some time. I’m swamped at the moment. :-d

Um…isn’t that what husbands are for? To mow lawns?

Yes, Shelley, but we have a bit of role reversal in my house. He stays home cooks and raises the kids. I work full time and mow the lawn. It works for us.
He makes a good wife.

Ohhh, I just love those rev-up, plot break throughs! I had one of those the other night and I’m still sailin’ on it. Best of luck with your sweating, Christine!
