Good luck with your AC. I soooo know that feeling. A couple of years ago our AC crapped out during the hottest week of the summer. To make matters worse I was 9 months pregnant with my daughter. I swear I went into labor early just so I could enjoy the AC at the hospital...hehe!

I'm no Indian giver.

My grandmother was a Taino Indain from Puerto Rico w/ the gift. She knew stuff. My dad says I inherited it.

I recieve vibes. I need not have to read b/c if that were the basis Nora would have been out of the running. Have you read her early works from the eighties? Appauling! Bodice rippers w/ alpha males and virgins and flower covers. (shudder)
It goes deeper, instinct, gut feeling, cosmic fate, I have no idea how I know but I do.

Sort of how I knew when Samhain said they wanted the novel. I said yes! Mind you I had a lot of consulting w/ the fairies before signing. Now look at the company blow up! (Trust me there were other e-pubs considered when submitting and one offer from another e-pub that was passed on)

Trust me. Myy predictions are never wrong. Just like in Business school I predicted Latino would be big in America and China would be big in 3 yrs. I was right. My Professor and other kids doubted the Latino angle. Well, I bet they are red-faced now. Like I said I can predict it. Now if only I could figure out how to profit from it.

Of course notice that time must pass. You have 2-5 yrs before I need to go through your publicist to get an interview. ;)

Amy - LOL. I know isn't Rachel cute. The sweetest thing. She sent me a book to have in a raffle for charity for an animal shelter. Have my own copy and want to read it badly!

I have a feeling she'll be big soon. Give her two more books, then watch her take off. So hold onto that copy. It'll be worth a lot one day.

I have the gift of foresight. (Mystical fairies flounce around me) I predicted Christine Feehan and Laurell K. Hamilton would be big. Read theeir first novels and just knew it. Sort of like a gut instinct. Too bad I was too slow in getting on the internet otherwise I would have gushed all over them earlier. Oh well...

Met Nora (before she blew up and went hardcover) in Staten Island Mall bookstore and felt the energy. I have pictures of her in her non-glory days. Imagine little ole me in college catching a personal interview for the college paper! Wonder if that would happen now? Yeah, right.

It's a gift. Too bad it doesn't translate to me. :( But one can never see one's own future (tis a bad omen)

Hmmm...wonder if this means Christine d'Abo is up next? Read Susan Grant's first futuristic novel and predicted she would go places and lo behold she's taken futuristics out of the seedy-stupid sci-fi B-rated geekdom into the mainstream of respectable romance.

Prediction: Christine will be next! We can all brag we knew her when;)

(((Waves))) Christine is a doll to let me intrude upon her stilleto hot site:)

A/C is fixed. Thank God. Bitchy is not the word. I'm sure psycho-hormonal, hot-tempered-potty-mouth-wench may come considerably closer.

Julia - You must try it. BBQ is my thing. Total excuse to not be in the kitchen. Seems men have figured it out and conned women into thinking the grill is manly. Seriousy they pretend to cook. Salt & pepper and some marinade from a bottle, then throw a slab of meat or poutry on grill, low burn. 1 hr later. Ta-da! Dinner is served. All the while they sucked a beer and watched a game. I figured it out early in marriage and now use the time to consume mass quantities of novels & beer:)

Tempest - yu live on an island? now that's hot!

You're popping up all over! This is a great idea. Too bad about the AC, but glad you were able to get it replaced. Good luck with all the summer reading - laptop-while-barbequing is something I've never tried before.
