Goals!

What a week! I’ve survived a birthday party, anniversary supper, and four soccer practices. I have to go to another practice shortly, but wanted to post this first. :)

I finished another chapter in my wizard’s story. I just introduced a character who is going to be a hero in a follow-up story. So I’ll continue to work away at this one, especially since I’m really getting into the meat of the plot now. I didn’t know where this was going to go at first, but now things are starting to fall into place. I’m really excited about this one…

So my goals for next week are:

  • write another chapter of the wizard’s story
  • work on promotions for The Bond That Ties Us (OMG 25 days!!!)
  • wait for edits on Chasing Phoenix - do them if they come in

Of course I also plan on finishing season two of House this week. I’ll actually be glad to be done it, just so I can focus on writing again!

A wizard one now! My goodness girl, you are just tossing stuff at your editor like a frisbee. LOL!

I want to do some more on Journey, I am patiently awaiting the contract, then I’ll feel like this is all real … because I don’t think it’s quite sunk in yet.

I also have to figure out what the cards are telling me … I’m stumped.

Ah, the jet-lag of an active social life! Hope all of it was fun. My Saturday night at Gingers tavern was delayed to Thursday. But I didn’t mind because I felt like a wreck anyway. Got lots of rest instead - felt better today.

My goals for next week: attack the pile of brush in our side yard, left over from trimming the maple late last summer. Keep plowing toward the finish line in my WIP. Still have a ways to go, but the momentum has picked up and loads of story elements are falling into place.

Soccer practice x five? That sounds busy. Do you write while you’re at practice? Good luck with this week’s goals. I’m chipping away at mine - I want to get off a partial this week. I’ll need to work a bit harder than I did today! Honestly, I need a bomb under me at the moment :(

I guess it’s good I don’t have a family yet. Where would I find as much time to read as I do now? lol
My goal is to get to the gym to work out 4 times this week.

Very busy week! Whew. I’m intrigued by your wizard story! I’m still pushing to finish the first draft of my novella by the end of June. Sigh. I’m running out of time!!

Good luck with the writing this week Christine. I’m trying the early morning writing this summer.

Good luck with the writing, Christine! I can’t wait to get a peek at it!! =) I’ll be working in my Jewel of the Nile quickie this week…hopefully finish because last week I couldn’t. Then I’ll get back to my vamps.

    Happy writing and House watching!

    You must be so excited!
I’m just plugging along with my 100 words and watching the first season of Gilmore Girls.
    Have a good week!

Way to go, Christine! And I’m interested to find out what you do for promotions - that’s a part of the publishing biz that is so beyond me.

Soccer Practice x5 - phew! I’m so glad my kids are grown up and I’m past the music lessons/basketball/hockey/soccer practices. Especially the six years of violin lessons :( Of course, now I’m facing the driving lesson dilemma which isn’t fun, because next comes the ‘Mum can I borrow the car’ phase. Double Yikes.

Awesome, you are so wonderfully productive! Keep goin’, girlfriend! You are such an inspiration.

I tagged you for a meme, but it’s a quick, fun, easy one. :)

I’m still trying to recover from the last week of school with all the gazillion activities.

Love your goals. I like wizard stories.

So, when you get all these things accomplished, do you run around the house, ripping off your shirt and screaming goooooaaaaaalllllll! or is that just my own strange world?

    Christine,
I’ve been a big meanie and tagged you. See my blog for details :)
