‘Battlestar Galactica’ To Blast Off Into the Archives
Cult TV show Battlestar Galactica will end early next year, the program’s makers have confirmed. The final fourth season of the sci-fi show will be broadcast on U.S. cable network Sci Fi Channel from November. Executive producers Ronald Moore and David Eick released a statement, saying, “This show was always meant to have a beginning, a middle and, finally, an end. Over the course of the last year, the story and the characters have been moving strongly toward that end, and we’ve decided to listen to those internal voices and conclude the show on our own terms. And while we know our fans will be saddened to know the end is coming, they should brace themselves for a wild ride getting there - we’re going out with a bang.”
Oh no! Not another good series ending! Darn…!
Oh darn, some of the best shows get cancelled so early!!
Sounds like you had your hands full this weekend with the broken water etc hope it all worked out.
Christine, I was hoping you might have a chance to record/watch Oprah tomorrow. One of my favourite writers is going to be interviewed about his featured work The Road. I would love to hear your opinion of the interview and if it inspires curiousity towards the writer and if you have ever read any of his stuff. it’s Cormac McCarthy and I posted a little somethign about tomorrows show on my blog.
Cheers and hope things worked out…as awlays love stoppin by your blog!

I never got around to watching an episode of the new BG series, although I kept meaning to. I almost hate watching something new because if I love it, it’s bound to go off the air. :-/
I watch it sporadically as I watch everything. But it stands out head and shoulders above most everything else. I think it’s a good thing to end on a high note. That’s where buying the box set of the DVDs comes in.
Ending a series on the writers’/creators’ own terms is so smart, I think. Especially a series like that where there’s a set goal in mind. Get out before Starbuck jumps a shark, I say!
and I still need to watch the third season…
I know, in a way I’m glad they are going to end it on a high note. Then the selfish part of me wants it to keep going. *sigh*
