Where has the time gone?? We’re in the middle of April and I think I blinked and missed March. I have a feeling May will be just as crazy. There are so many things going on, I find I’ve been putting a lot of other things off. So my list this week is going to talk about the things that I want to do soon.

1. Watch movies. I keep buying all these great movies from the bargin bin at the grocery store, but I have no time to watch them. One of these days I’m going to have a movie weekend. 2. Read a book from my TRB pile. I just read Jaci’s Wild, Wicked and Wanton (review on tomorrow’s blog), but I still have a huge pile sitting there. I need to get through these. 3. Start exercising. I used to exercise an hour a day, every day. I need to get back and do this again. No excuses. 4. Plan my garden. I love spring and gardening. This is my fist spring in this house and I can’t wait to get digging. That said, I need a plan. 5. Plan my marketing strategy. This is something I’ve been thinking a lot about recently. I hope maybe this weekend I’ll be able to sit down and plan out what I’m going to do. A big thanks to everyone who offered suggestions yesterday. 6. Plot a new paranormal. I have this great idea that’s been bouncing around in my head for a while. I need to take a day to sit down and really plot it out before I lose it. 7. Walk around my property. As I said, we haven’t been in our house very long. I have yet to really walk around and check out all the cool places on our property. I plan to do that this spring. Or as soon as the snow stops!! 8. Teach my girls how to ride their bikes. They both need new bikes to do that, but this year I really want to help them learn. I love riding my bike and it’s something fun we can do together. 9. Watch a new TV show. There are so many shows that people keep telling me about. I’d love to take some time (maybe this summer) to sit down and get caught up with them. House…I’d really like to see this. 10. Practice my guitar. I play. Not very well, but I do play. I’d really love to dig it out and start practicing again. Maybe even take lessons again to get better. 11. Finish knitting my blanket. Another thing that always gets set aside. If I can’t do it in a short time frame, it never seems to get finished. However, I really want to make this blanket. 12. Sleep. I’ve been sleeping like crap recently. I’d love to have one, maybe two really good nights sleep. 13. Relax. I don’t know if you’ve picked up on this, but I’m a very high strung person. I really need to learn how to relax before I burn out. My husband has been telling me this for years, but I can’t seem to do it. I have two modes: run and sleep. |

i just did the April double-take the other day. No WAY is it midway through April! Where the hell has the year gone!! I want it back!
I’m right there with you on 3, 4 & 9. I need some newness in my life and no better place to start than with those three goals. Great list.
I hear ya about the exercising. I need to get back on that horse as well. I came back from vacation with motivation and then quickly got sick…but I am getting there….I am…I am.
My TT is up…visit it, it’s lonely!
A good nine or ten of those could be my list! Particularly the exercising. I am so lousy about that.
Btw, if you haven’t head over to Rhian’s blog. She has your cover up, so go look!
That’s supposed to be if you haven’t headed over yet to Rhian’s blog, do so.
That’s what happens when your fingers can’t keep up with your mouth.
You can multitask and knit your blanket while watching House. If they have the first season out on DVD, it might be good to watch it in sequence just so you kind of figure out who the people are, what their histories are, what their motivations are, etc. Hugh Laurie is amazing!!!! Everyone I know watches it and loves it!
Wow, Christine–you used to work out an hour a day…every day? Sheesh! Woman, you are now officially my new idol.
Wonderful list!
Thats a very ambitious list Christine!
Speaking of time flying…I completely lost track of time last week…and missed Thursday…didn’t realize what day it was until like, Saturday. sorry I didn’t even get a TT list last week. I think I am crazy because I have been dieting and exercisisng and my schedule is all topsy turvy…but in a good way.
Okay well, I’m back to counting calories etc…
Cheers here is my TT list:

I totally hear you on the bike riding thing. I spent some time a couple of years ago getting my oldest to handle the balancing trick of two wheels. It is hard work. If you really consider what is required to do this, you will find you are also solving the exercising thing at the same time. I find that the faster they peddle, the easier it is for them to keep their balance. The hard part is the starting and stopping. Knee pads and elbow pads. On the other hand, I had raised the training wheels on my son’s bike last year and early this year I noticed that when he was biking that his training wheels barely touched the ground. So I removed them and wouldn’t you know it, he now rides no problem. Again, the hard part for them to learn is how to take off without falling over and how to stop without wiping out.
I definitely need to do #12 and #13. Things have been totally chaotic at work. Ugh!
Oh my, Christine, we could be twin daughters of different mothers. The only real difference in our lists is I’m typically a very laid-back person. And I let my garden go back to grass a few years ago — too many kids, too many weeds, not enough time.
I’d love to do half those things too, but I don’t have the time either
Great list.
Why is time always such a premium? I need to go back to exercising. Has nothing to do with time and more with the fact I don’t like it.
Let’s see, I need to do #3 (God do I ever), #5, #6, #11 (although for me it’s crochet instead of knit), #12 and #13… yeah, where’s the time gone???
I’m right there with you, too. I can’t believe it’s almost May!!
Plotting. I really need to be plotting. I HAVE been plotting. For a while now. Urgh.
Funnily enough, my list has # 3 and #12 on it as well! Hope you loved WW&W as much as I did! And really hope you find time to do the gardening at the new house!
Happy TT!
#1 and #3 are big on my list of things too!
#1 Watch movies is always paramount on my to-do list. There will never be enough time even when I get to be 100 to catch up on all the films I want to see.
Great list of things to do! My mom says you’ll really feel good if you start exercising again.
It will give you more energy! Teaching your girls how to ride their bikes sounds like a good idea too!
I’m thinking if you do the other 12 things, then you’ll get a good night sleep
And, half the battle is knowing what you need to do, so you’re half way there
Have fun with your gardening–I really enjoy that too, although the weeding, not so much. And I need to get my boys riding bikes this year! They haven’t been interested yet, but they’re getting too old not to have mastered it.
Happy T13!
Great list! Now I’m inspired to think about some things that I’d like to do
Looks like you have tons of things you want to do. Some of them sound like they are right up my alley.
WOW lot of stuff you should be doing *grin*. I would love to learn to garden too, that one of my must do. You mention you have been thinking of doing paranormal. What kind of paranormal are you thinking?
Thanks for visiting my blog, Happy Thursday Thirteen
Man there’s so much I want to do too. When will I get it all done? When?! LOL
So many of those are on my list, too. First up is getting some sleep. I probably wouldn’t even recognize myself if I routinely got enough sleep.
And I have to laugh about the books and movies. My TBR pile continues to grow, and there’s really no way I can read any more than I do. The Netflix queues are even worse, and we still have at least half a dozen DVDs from Christmas that we haven’t watched yet.
Marketing plan. Yup. I’ve been thinking along those lines, too (yes, I’m up to something!).
Bike riding, yup. I told my son we’d get him a new bike when he lost the training wheels, but I wasn’t going to put the training wheels on a new bike. So guess what happens? We go out there three weeks ago and start to adjust the seat on the kid’s bike and … he’s too tall for it now. The training wheels went away and as soon as he’s mastered this new style of riding, he gets a new bike. Will I ever get my road bike???
Happy TT, babe!
I really should start watching movies, too!! It’s like you READ my mind! I have loads of them lying here and I’m still not watching any… Ugh.
Same for relaxing. And I should write more, too.
Happy TT!
You sound too much like me. Check out my rant about “life” at http://writers-across-time.blogspot.com/2007/04/life.html and you’ll understand why I need sleep, too.
Great TT!
YES to all those things for me. Except knitting I don’t know how, I think I would replace that with scrapbooking. Don’t forget to send me your postcards to pass out at the TRW!!!!
Happy TT
Hope you’ll be able to do all of these soon
Especially #12 and #13! It will probably help you get to all the others too, in time…
Thanks for visiting my TT, btw!
Wow, what an ambitious list! Wishing you lots of luck! =)
Wow – with such an ambitious list, not sure sleep is going to happen
James mastered his two-wheeler last year and we had a blast bike riding all over the place. Spencer is still in his babyseat (barely under the recommended weight) and now that the nice weather has come back, I’m looking forward to the childish freedom of biking. The helmets are a bitch on the hair, though… grrrr.
sounds like you need more like a movie week.
Arrrrgh, sorry I’m chiming in so late! That’s a great list, and I hear you on the relax thing, too. I’ve been trying to get back into my exercise good — I keep falling off the exercise wagon, then I climb back on, then I fall off again — ha! I’m making myself dizzy. And how neat that you knit! That’s something I’d like to learn to do one of these days.
Have a great weekend, Christine!
I completely agree with you on 1,2,3,12.
7 won’t take me any time at all! For 10, substitute clarinet.
Great list!
