Well I’ve just seen my family head out and my house is returning to normal. I took an extra day off work so I can get some editing done (and recover from the Easter insanity). I had a great time and it was wonderful to see everyone. How was your holiday??
This week I have another set of edits to finish up. I got them from my editor on Thursday, but wasn’t able to do too much this weekend. I’m hoping to finish most of them today so I can get them back to her as soon as possible. I’m getting anxious for a release date.
Friday night I also got to see 300 in the IMAX theatre. I have to say I’m now totally spoiled and won’t go see a movie in a regular theatre again. WOW!! Not only was the movie amazing, but the IMAX experience totally blew me away. There were times when I felt sucked into the movie. I was saying to my sister afterwards, I can just imagine the casting calls for that one.
“Excuse me, how many abs do you have?”
“Six.”
“I’m sorry, not enough. Next!”
Great googlie mooglie! I have enough mental material to write five more books. *sigh*
I’ve missed you all! What are you up to?
“Great googlie mooglie!”
I’ve spent the last 10 minutes trying to figure out who said that. It was Ferocious Beast from Maggie and the Ferocious Beast.
I don’t go to the movies too often. I think the only movies I’ve seen on IMAX have been those Very Important Nature Documentaries. While they are spectacular, I don’t want to spend $12 to watch a dolphin swim. I might pay that much to see Gerard Butler’s abs.
Glad you had a nice weekend!
Only 3 more days till I’ll be in Cali… I’m just a little excited!
Yay for Maggie and the Ferocious Beast. I hear that about 20x a day.
I so want to see 300, giant GB abs sounds so awesome … oh man I’m drooling now.
I finished off the first draft of Masque of Desire. I’m hoping it’s hot enough and doesn’t finish too fast.
Other than that, eating way too much chocolate.
Are you just as giddy as me about Vicky’s baby? It’s sooo cool.
Oh btw I did miss you.
Missed you!! Checked your blog daily, just in case you had time to update us on the IMAX 300. Sounds like your weekend was full and happy.
We had a quiet Easter… lots of chocolate, egg decorating messes with the kids, etc. Too bad the weather is shite!
Hi Christine! Welcome back and sure we miss ya *grin*
Our holiday was great. Spent the Sunday moring with mass and then brought some crawfish boil, and then friends invited us to another crawfish boil…I spent all day with my family and friend
I’m looking forward to watch 300 soon. Sound like it going to be amazing movie
Take care and have a nice week
in a word…Masters.
so glad it’s over. Welcome back – it’s just not the same without you!
LOL about how many abs do you have. That movie was all about the gorgeous slow motion male bodies.
East Coast Julia – So glad you got to see “300″! I can’t believe I have to wait 6 months to get it on DVD. Sigh.
I edited my WIP. Was in a super-cranky mood while doing it. I’m not much of a revision fan. But I’m learning to do it, regardless.
East Coast Julia and Maureen, I’ll be the first in line to buy that on DVD. Wow! I think I was drooling.
Julia, I’ve had crawfish and like it. But I’m more of a lobster girl.
Good thing I live in the right province to get some at a fair price.
Rhian, I read on your blog how crazy busy you’d been. I don’t know how you keep up sometimes.
I love Maggie and the Ferocious Beast! I have some of the books for my kids when they were little. So cute.
Amy and Wyile…HUGS
This was your first IMAX movie? Neat. Now, wait until you see one in IMAX 3D with the cool polarized lenses. That is a *totally* mindblowing experience.
Oh, and on totally another topic, will you take back what you said about poor Jack now that he’s back to kicking a$$ and taking names? The last ten minutes of Monday’s show made up for the last ten episodes!
Hi Robin! Yes, I will have to take back my comments abot Jack. I have a feeling the next six episodes are going to rock.
I’m going to have to save my pennies and take my kids to an IMAX 3D. They’d love it.
