It’s a beautiful, wonderful Sunday morning everyone. I have a cup of coffee in my hand and I’m ready to jump back into my edits. I’m about halfway through The Bond That Ties Us, and it’s amazing how much I’m still changing. You’d think that at this stage there would only be small changes I’d need to make, and I guess they are, but they feel big to me. I’ve added almost 10,000 to my manuscript since I’ve started edits. In the end, it will be a much stronger book.
My goals for this week are pretty straightforward:
- Finish edits on Bonds and send back to editor
- Finish chapter one on Halloween story (poor thing’s been negelected!)
- Critique a friend’s novella
This is also a short week and I have company coming for Easter, so I need to try and get this all done by Friday. After that I won’t be getting too close to my computer.
On a side note, I’m finally going to get to see 300 on Friday night! I’ve been waiting for my family to come upĀ and we’re going to go see it in the IMAX. I can’t wait!
So what are you up to?
Sounds like a busy day at your place! I promised to do something special with the kids today – bake and decorate Easter cookies and, if the rain stays away, go for a bikeride. Hubby and I may also tackle painting Spencer’s bedroom…
I’ve also got the second half of the crown procedure at the dentists tomorrow – grrr – so it doesn’t appear that any writing will be happening for the next few days.
AND – I have the first book in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series calling me from the side-table. Damn thing keeps distracting me. I may have to pick it up and read a page or two …
Like I could stop after a page or two
Wow, you are getting alot done. Good for you. Good luck with the edits, I am eagerly awaiting it.
Besides buying Gwen tickets, and getting a sinus infection, I read a book in one sitting. The Birth House, I recommend it. It’s not romance, but it’s based in 1900′s Scots Bay NOVA SCOTIA!!!!
Anyways, have a great weekend.
Wow, great work on the revisions! I have a monster revision job ahead of me (on the Fast Draft project). Here’s to a great week and month!
Good luck on the revisions. Sounds like you have a busy week ahead of you. It’s already Monday morning here and I’m trying to think what I need to get done today let alone this week with three little boys underfoot, who constantly come up to me with questions and make concentration totally impossible.
Yay… Easter… family…. Yay!!!
You’re always so great for setting goals and accomplishing them Christine. Something that I’m very envious about! Doesn’t matter what I’ve done in the last couple of months… nothing sticks in the brain! So this week I’m going to smile and wait to hear from my parents who are in Alberta looking for a house so that they can leave me and my sister!
Not happy about that… but I’ll suck it up… and try not to cry! I hope it’s all an April fools joke – althought it wouldn’t be very funny!
Have a great week!
Victoria, I totally agree with you. Christine always seems to have her life in such order. I bet she really has 100 things that she has planned to do at anytime and just lists the top several off her list so that those of us prone to a more chaotic lifestyle won’t feel so bad. Little does she realize that some of us (myself in particular as you at least have plans to smile) are starting to hear people whispering about our emerald complexions as our envy for Christine’s goal setting starts to show through.
Seriously though, I’m going to see if I can get through at least two chapters of editing, get out at least 3 times cycling with at least 2 of my kids, have fun, work hard and enjoy my life.
I was going to comment above.. but it’s blocked at work for “innapropriate content”! LOL oops.
I’ve got to get some good goals in place!
