We got some wonderful news yesterday. Fellow TRW member Kim Howe has made it to the final round of the American Title contest!!!! I’m super excited for Kim, as she is a wonderful person and a very talented writer. In case you’re not familiar with the contest it is run by Romantic Times and the winner get a publishing contract with
Dorchester. Each round the contestants had to post a scene, description, or bio about their book. The final round will be judging the best love scene. I have every confidence in Kim. Her scene is fantastic!
Voting is a snap. You can send an e-mail to webmaster@romantictimes.com with ONE SHOT, TWO KILLS (the title of Kim’s book) in the subject line. If you have more than one email address feel free to vote more than once.
Good luck Kim!!!

Amy - I can’t stop laughing about the boss thing! You got balls!
As for the entry… Kim has got to win! To be honest, and usually I don’t say anything negative about someone elses writing, but the other one kind of scared me. Not to mention absolutely disgusted me - which I know was the intent, but the disgust was executed a little too well for me in a romance. Sorry other writer girl!
Go Kim!

Ok, nothing to do with Kim (though she laughed that I pimped out my friends at work and thanked me for making her my *hoe*), I just wanted to say I like your Bio on EC!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Amy! I was surprised when Vicky told me it was up already. I thought it would be closer to the time of book release. I was in giggles all night!

I just checked out your EC bio — VERY COOL!!!! I love the ‘longer than the average bear’ line. Chuckle.
The editing part is pretty daunting, but my editor, Kelli, seems right-on and easy to work with. How are you finding Brianna?
And speaking of daunting, have you read your style guide yet?? AhhHH!!!
How ’bout your cover form? That was a ‘thinker’ all right! I didn’t have a clue what image I wanted, so spent a few days checking out all the covers from other epubs until I saw bits and pieces I liked. The cover art dept is probably shaking their collective heads at my dizziness!
Good luck with your edits and lets keep comparing notes as we go. It’s nice to know someone is going thru the same thing!

Thanks Wylie!! I had a lot of fun writing that one.
The style guide took me three days to go through and apply the changes to my manuscript. It was a great exercise for me. Since then I’ve applied all the changes to my other stories and will be sending them along soon. .
The cover art sheet I found hard to. I kept wanting to write “I love all your covers - be creative!” but I didn’t. I love Bree so far, I just hope she is patient with me.
